Hello Jack - no partying about it. I spent Christmas in Antarctica and am suffering jetlag after spending 35 hours in the air plus about 6-10 hours sitting around airports. It was worth it, though.

Yes, we saw lots on the trip to Peru and South America and not all through the camera lens. Although I must admit, sometimes you get so carried away taking photos, you miss the actual 'real' look at things. Not often though. I did take a LOT of photos though and printed out enough to fill two albums.

step 1 find the row or column that can be solved, leaving 2 numbers. Now find the spaces for those numbers at 90degrees. todays puzzle 1 and 3
step 2 find the only number to fit a row that includes those two numbers. today 4 and partly solve that number
step 3 find the three sets of pairs in 1 corner and place those possibilities in the empty squares. today 8 and 7 top left hand square

Hello Jack - I'm glad you liked China. I was impressed with the history but there were so many huge housing development buildings just sitting there going to waste. It seemed pointless. Perhaps if I'd seen more of the old China it would have been better as I do love history.

Wow, Jack - you sure did some travelling. My trip was entirely different as it was part of the Trans-Siberian Train trip I did and I started in Hong Kong and only visited three major cities. From there it was off to Mongolia and Russia. I'm sure the type of places you visited would be vastly different and more cultural.

Hi Jack. Regarding your query about notation, there is a good explanation of Eureka by Dave from Minnesota. Click on 'Archive', and click on Sunday November 23rd. 2008 (Tough page).I can't use it myself, but I can usually follow Eureka posters' logic, especially sotir's.
