The Melbourne mob does sometimes have get-togethers, so if you're interested in meeting a few crazy Sudoku-ists just let us know ... we are actually due for one in a few weeks. Family or significant-others very welcome. :)

Hello Jack - I was just reading your comment to me on medium so thought I'd reply here.
With the easy and medium, I just go straight through them without looking first or working out my moves. I nearly always check yours and Chris's times against mine.
With hard and tough, I don't look first but do use the "possibility", otherwise I'd probably be there all day.

At this stage, it looks like it is going to be down at Wings and Fins, the restaurant at Tooradin Airfield. Hi, Jack. My dad is first generation Polish-American. His parents were both ethnic Poles born in Europe pre-WWI. I remember cold borscht on hot days growing up.

They also made gazpacho, though neither is Hispanic (Mom's family came early 1800s from Bavaria).

My husband does not like the taste of vinegar. I know, I know, there's something seriously wrong with that. Anyway, that was, like, half my arsenal of menu ideas down the drain as soon as I married: sauerkraut, sauerbraten, sweet-sour Chinese, Carolina BBQ, balsamic dressings. I do manage to get away with sushi.

As for other Polish food, "NO!" to czernina and yes to most other menu items. Kielbasa is preferred fresh over smoked. No one in my household likes plum or farmer's cheese pierogi as much as I do, but we all fight over the potato/onion/cheddar/etc. varieties!

Chirnside Park, at 12.30. Just the usual suspects and it's a lovely place we have often been to.

Hell, it's cold with a s/easterly blowing after a week of lovely weather.
I even looked like a beetroot after mowing my lawns yesterday as it was quite humid. From one extreme to the other.
