Sorry to hear about Dexter - but what fond memories you have. I'm glad you were able to help your dog on - I still remember my Cinder - best friend always -- take care, Mary

Dearest Betty -
I am so sad to hear about your "Goodbye" to Dexter. For me, this is the hardest thing about having animal family and your loss just breaks my heart. I'm so glad he had a long and blessed life with you.
Big hugs.

Betty, I am so sorry that you have had to part with your beloved Dexter. All of us love our pets, but surely for you Dexter was an extra special helper & companion. You were so kind & brave to make the final decision to end his suffering. God bless both you in your sorrow & him in his passing on to a place in heaven where he will be waiting for you.

Dear Betty,

My deepest condolences on the loss of Dexter. You were there for each other for 14 years ... and you were there for him and held him to the end (as I did for Schultz). With my whole being I remember how that feels ... and I ache for you. Best wishes. Kate

Here is the Rainbow Bridge poem at their site from my posting on 28 January 2009.

I am sure Dexter with wait for you there (which I hope will be many years) ... with others (people and animals) who have gone before ... as I've just realised December was also the anniversary of the loss of your husband ...

Condolences in every way.

Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your dear Dexter. Losing a pet is always a heart-wrenching experience, and, of course, Dexter was so much more than that.

Betty, I am so very sorry to hear that Dexter has gone. The kindest thing we can do for our furry family is the saddest too. We knew his time was short when you told us of his diagnosis, but it makes it no less tragic.
He has been a good service dog and a great companion for you.
I hope it is not too early to wish you the best with your next companion.
