The first photo that I submitted to http://www.sudoku.com.au/ was shown in January 2005 and that's it below  ... or at least it would be if I could work out what the heck I am doing wrong!

Whoa! An automatic invitation on the main site to visit my page ... hadn't planned on doing anything with that yet. But I do have an old home page that gets updated very little since I became a mum! Find it at http://members.ozemail.com.au/~crocomut

Kate and ,
Hope you have a good Sudoku day. Cicada (a type of locust) have been visiting my area in the Midwest of the USA - they live underground for 17 years and then come up to mate - by the thousands They are loud - sounds like a UFO and are everywhere. My neighborhood doesn't have that many but the next town over - you may have to shovel them Well, hope you have a good sudoku day. Mary

Hi Kate, to your new page. I have enjoyed some of your photos as jigsaws recently. I am glad you put Lane Cove after your name as my sister Kate is from Sydney as well.

Hi everybody! Thank you all for your welcomes ... though I must say it feels a bit funny to be welcomed ... after so many years of adding comments and submitting photos without getting around to joining! I think my first photo - one of Schultz the dog reflected in the rear-vision mirror, appeared in January 2005 ... and I'd been doing sudoku for most of 2004 before that. But thank you all! I know I should have been a member long before this.

Could other Kate of Sydney please also add her suburb as I think its causing confusion! Unless of course it is also Lane Cove - in which case we should meet for coffee!

Hi Kate from Sydney(Lane cove) I'm sorry I've upset you so much. I've been Kate/Sydney on jigsaws for quite a while. My sister Maureen introduced me to the site. I have a few friends called Kate & at least one of them lives in Lane Cove, so maybe you should add your street in lane Cove as well. I've met Schultz quite a few times on jigsaws. I think he's a great dog.

Hi - no upset - I just think its confusing the regulars, Ian and Anne and Canuk Greg and Rosemary ...! I think street is a bit too much info on a public website ... I'll stick to suburb! I like the jigsaw site too. I used to pick a picture from the archives and do it but now the archives are gone. There's another Kate in my Lane Cove Mother's Group! Maybe she's the Kate you know and we have only two degrees of separation!

Hi Kate...have you tried giving your dog glucosamine?

Hi Jan! Yes - He's on three glucosomine tablets morning and evening which is the maximum dose for his (considerable) size - and he's now on 3/4 tablet of this whizz bang arthritis medication too. After a series of injections ealier this month he can walk again. Winter hit him really hard all of a very sudden this year. His back legs went, triggering an old spinal injury and everything went downhill shockingly fast. He was already on the glucosomine but clearly needed more. He also sleeps inside and, since winter began, has his own doona and hot water bottle. he can walk again now - and is actually interested in his ball again! All in all, considering where we were at the start of June - amazing!

Thanks Greg - I received the newsletter! It's on the 'to do' list. Just when I'll get a chance between a full-time job that's ramping up the demands, a shiftworker partner and a child on school holidays though - I know not!

Hi Kate, did I see somewhere that you had just returned from skiing? If so, I think we have a mutual interest. I asked the other Kate but she assures me that she doesn't ski.

Hi Ian! I like skiing but I haven't been for some time! It doesn't look like I'll get there this year either more's the pity as it looks loike a bumper year. Unfortunately it isn't me who has just returned from skiing.

Kate, thanks for your reply, I'm now beginning to wonder if I dreamt it. Never mind.
I love skiing and did a lot of it in my youth. But my skiing days are over now. You're right, it does look like a good year - I remember one year when I was skiing at Falls Creek and we had so much snow that it buried the cars in the carpark and the lifts were unusable. Ah, the memories.

Gday Kate, well there's me feeling silly. Didn't realise I'd been reading two different Kates. Sorry I haven't been here sooner but went straight to Schultz's home page to see his photos then read your comments above about his Arthur-itis. As I was reading it, I got chills down my spine. You could have been describing what happened to my oldest cat earlier this winter. All of a sudden, he went downhill, staggering around and looking very distressed and confused. I took him to the vet thinking it was time to say goodbye. The vet suggested a course of Cartrophin injections and within two days, you would have thought he was a kitten again! He will have an injection every month for the rest of his life but I fear that won't be too long. He is not sparking up as much after each dose as he first did. Maybe it is just the cold snap we are having at the moment.
Sorry to be so long-winded. Drop into my page and meet Scrap. He's a sweet old thing and he would love to see you there.

Hey Kate
i think this get together is a wonderful idea. I have been reading about everyone else's with much jealousy so it is nice to be doing one of our own. Do we need to do a booking or anything for it? Cause I probably wont know if we are going to turn up - and how many of us there will be - until a few days beforehand. Where will we be meeting? Thank you for thinking of this. Rose

Kate, thanks for the visit. Scrap is in the photo with his daughter, Judy (he's the ginger).
About the Sydney Brekky Meet, as you know, I would love to be there as it would give me the jolt I needed to visit my sister. I keep saying I'll get up there but something else always 'crops' up. Haven't looked in for a couple of days so if the date has been set, I'll let you know when I've caught up on the reading.

Sorry, Kate, that I haven't responded to your invitation but I didn't know what was happening. We've had a wedding to go to on the Saturday 21st & now there are family things happening on the Sunday, which I can't get out of! So I'm sorry to say that I can't come.

Kate, did you know that you can now access the old photos by going to 'Site Map' at the end of the toolbar at the top of the page.
About the Bronte meet, I would still like to come if you don't think it would be too presumptuous for a Melbournite to gate crash a Sydney gig! Its my daughter's 18th on the 20th but we are doing the family thingy on the Friday night and she has given me permission to attend!

Hi Kate, is everything still organised for Sunday. Hopefully Sharon, Laura and myself will be there. Looks as though Ian will not be able to make it unless he is out of hospital soon. I would have liked to have organised something when Linda from Pioneer was in Sydney but it was not possible.

Kate, I am so sorry for stringing this out to the last minute, I wont be able to make it on Sunday. Can you believe how quickly that has come around! It turns out that with D#2's 18th and her driving test and the cat's appointment(!), I just can't manage it at this time.
I hope you have the very best of times, and thank you, for all the effort (and stress, I know what setting something like this is like) you have gone to.
Once again, my apologies. NEXT time though...

Kate, How can we thank you enough for arranging today? We all had a wonderful day and I hope you enjoyed your birthday. If we had realised before that you were celebrating we could have made it more special for you.
With Laura and not much room to move it did make it a bit difficult for me to have much conversation with you.
Leia is a lovely girl and a credit to you.
I am not sure if you ever shop at Macquarie but if you do and would like to meet for a coffee some time just let me know.
I have put a photo of today on my page but if anyone is not happy about their photo being there I can take it off.

Thanks again.
