Hi Jan! I read about your pets on the Pets page & came to your page hoping there might be pictures. And oh boy, was I thrilled to see these darling puppies! What kind are they? Maybe you can write a little more about them here on your page because I'm sure others besides Rena & I will ask, too. I hope you'll add more pictures of your other pets sometime, too. I'll be back! The pups in the picture were Mija's first litter. Diego (Dad) is a Shih Tzu/Coton du Tulear cross and Mija is 7/8th Maltese with 1/8 Pekenese. They were all females weighing 4, 4.5 & 5 ounces at birth and when they went to their new homes at 8 weeks they were 28, 39 and 29 ounces. The two smallest went to the same home and were name Pica & Boo. They are still quite small probably about 5 pounds. Taz, the largest went to a home where the man of the house (an RCMP officer) wanted a REAL dog; well guess who she bonded with the most? Yes, the tough burly cop. Mija is pregnant again and will give birth aroung the 28th of July. I'll you posted on the results.

hi Jan, i love maltese! i'll watch for pictures of your little one! yes, Mac is my little Maltese. he will be 5 in October and is my companion. my hubby has a westie who weighs 25.4 lbs. quite a difference between the 2,m but they get along mostly. mac doesn't share his food very well, but that's okay, we've been trying to fatten him up. it's just not happening. we'd like to get him closer to 6 lb, but that's been going on for several years now and we're not closer. he was lost for 8 days a couple years ago and lost 1/2 his body weight. he was in intensive care unit at Purdue animal hospital in Indiana for 4 days. we are very fortunate to still have him. they couldnt find anything physical wrong, but he seems to have some neurological damage that never went away. his hair is very thin; his nose is pink(he lost his little brown nose) and his back end is sometimes wobbly, but he just treat him like he can do whatever he wants and exercise him regularly so he will be strong. we're just grateful for any time we have with him. murphy was the 'replacement' puppy and my sister thought we should name him murphy since a variation of murphy's law was 'if you replace the lost pup, the lost one will be found.' sure enough - so the new one is murphy. his pix is one of my avatars and also been on the kid's page too.
