Hello, friend, and thanks for visiting.  Please make yourself at home here.  In the summer, we can chat on the patio with a mimosa and a platter of shrimp.  In winter, we'll cozy up by the fire with some hot chocolate and your favourite liqueur.   I wish you a life filled with wonder.  Stop to marvel at creation.  Make someone smile whenever you can.  And shower affection on all creatures, great and small.

Arthur, our 4-year-old Maine Coon cat.

Hey, Cathy, glad to see you made it.
Now you can post pics of your kitty. I haven't figured out how to do it all yet since I've been busy with the new game. Here are some flowers to brighten your place and some cake to share with others.

Welcome, Stella, and all visitors to my humble, spartan space. Be patient while I figure things out--a technowizard, I'm definitely not.

Hi, Cathy, and to your new page! How is your kitty? I was looking for an appropriate smilie, but nothing is at all cat-like. Anyway, welcome, and please enjoy these tulips and a big box of Frango Mints as you settle in.

Glad to have you stop by, Julie, and thank you for the cheery housewarming gifts. Please enjoy a piece of cake, courtesy of Stella. Arthur is resting comfortably and if I may speak frankly, peeing up a storm. We'll continue to monitor his progress, give pills and fluids--all such a treat. But he's well worth it!
Coffee or tea to go with the cake? Or something stronger?

Hi Cathy; thanks for the wine, glad we could share it. I'l be perfectly honest with you, I've never been much of a cat person--never owned one, only dogs. But, I can't stand the thought of any pet going thru what poor Arthur has gone thru. How did all of this start? Pets shouldn't get sick, they can't tell you what's wrong.
On another topic, welcome to becoming a member with all the goodies involved. Gath is really incredible with what he has provided us with here. I come bearing gifts from SC--key lime pie, pralined pecans and some not even close to SC single malt Scotch. Enjoy.

Cathy: Where in southern Ontario are you? We are possibly practically neighbors! We visit several areas of southern Ontario every summer.
I bring some Ohio wine, which is only almost as good as some of your own!

Cathy, sorry about the bump in the road with Arthur. Is he getting any solids thru all of this? Scratch the other two behind the ears for me. They have to be worried about Arthur as well. If you didn't have any medical training before, you sure do now!
I'm bringing you a pillow because I know your head hasn't seen much of one lately.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hello Cathy - thank you for visiting me and for the very tasty wine and maple syrup. I have tried some Canadian maple syrup sweets that a very good friend from Canada sent to me for Christmas and they are quite sweet, but enjoyable. Glad to see you have your own place on the site now. My smilies aren't working so I can't add the 'WELCOME' sign but have typed it in instead.
Here's a bottle of our local Goundry Unwooded Chardonnay to help celebrate your house warming.

Hi Cathy,
Where in southern Ontario? I was born just outside of Buffalo. My mother was born in Bronte (I believe now a distant suburb of Toronto) and I still have relatives in Niagara Falls, Ont. Have enjoyed Niagara ice wine previously. My daughter had a lost dog, and dumb me, I checked the papers under lost pets. A day later I realized I needed to check found pets. Lo and behold, the dog had been found and lovingly cared for.

Hi Cathy - You have a very welcoming place here. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Are you near Michigan? I am an hour slightly southwest of Port Huron. to Sudokuland. I have left a bottle of Cherry Wine and a bag of apples. I hope you enjoy! Oh yes! And a piece of my rhubarb pie!

Cathy - Thank you for your visit! Thank you, also, the the delicious wine and the beautiful flowers. Machinac Island is a fun place to vist, but the weather can sometimes be cold up there. It is a bout a 4 hour drive North for us. Are you in the direction of Toronto?

Cathy-I haven't yet been to Hamilton, but I think my hometown of Flint, Michigan is (or was)Hamilton's ''sister'' city. And would you believe I've been to Ellicottville, although in the fall, not to ski!
Your Niagra ice wine was lovely.

Cathy, you sure hae had a time with Arthur--what started all this? Is it something that his breed is prone to? Sorry for the questions, but I don't know a lot about cats. In the meanwhile, who's holding down the fort? Let me guess--You! Unfortunately, I come empty-handed, with nothing but best wishes and to let you know you will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Have a good week.

Hi Cathy, Thanks for the update, I'm so glad Arthur is steadily improving. My prayers are that he keeps up the progress until he's back on par with his brothers; how they must miss him!
Hope you and your husband are getting rest. You will truly need some R&R when Arthur's well.
Have a great day.

Thanks for dropping by Cathy and thank you for your kind thoughts and gifts. I am just waiting to hear if Dad is coming home tonight and then if he does I have to go and stay with him. Hopefully there won't be any complications. Though to be totally honest I would prefer him to stay in overnight... less worry for me.

Hi Cathy. All is well with Dad. He stayed in hospital overnight (which was quite a blessing for me) and is home today. I have been busy baking so I have dropped in a plate of choc chip cookies for you to enjoy.

Cathy, There's always at least one. I have a hard time not saying anything, but I suppose if we all ignore the jerks they'll go away. According to 'from' he/she has been around for two years. That's a lot of ignoring!
Thanks for the back up!

Oh Cathy, you bring a smile to my face. I have had so much enjoyment from this site. When I am gone, I really miss it. There are so many wonderful people here and I really like to be silly once in a while. (I still enjoy a good swing on the swingset, too!) I feel after raising 5 children, I can afford to sit back and be silly! It is really sad that there is always someone stirring things up.... Have a great day!

Thanks Cathy. I am sure after climbing all those stairs you can have a cookie or two. It was nice to get a good night's sleep and not be worrying about Dad. I went to visit him yesterday and was tired but otherwise fine.

Cathy, I've finally landed on your page and a wonderful place to be. our greeting is so very gracious, the thought so wonderful to see. I hope that you continue to add your special brand of warmth to the site for a long long time. You have a lot of wine so I thought perhaps you might welcome some jambalaya instead. Oh by the way, the shrimp and mimosas were quite good. Will be sure to come back and hope you will grace my pages anytime. Hope the king is back on the throne, resting easy, and allowing you to also rest. May peace of mind, heart and spirit rule in your home.

Hi Cathy! What a nice welcome you wrote for your page - one of the best I've seen, I think. Sorry I haven't been by before. It seems to be harder & harder to keep up with all the new things Gath has added to the site! How is Arthur doing? Hope maybe you can post a picture of him on your page someday. In the meantime, please go to the new ''Our Pets'' section in Clips & add him to the list.

Just dropping by and wondering if I could have a slide of Cyndi Key Lime pie.
Sounds like you have been busy with your cat - I love animals but don't have any just friends in the hood that know me. Hope you have a wonderful evening - the full moon is coming and I love the night sky. Mary

cathy...thanks for stopping by. good to hear from you, sweetheart. hope arthur has finally used his 'special box'. glad your street sale is over for you. did you make a few bucks? and get rid of a few extra things around the house that you didnt need? bruce and i need to do that too.
we live in a condo, and are wall to wall 'stuff'
there was some talk of having a street sale here too, and we need to get it together to be able to sell off some of our extras too. glad you are comming to salt lake, you will have a good time here im sure. my father (89 years old, from michigan) is a rotarian too. i have a bunch of stuff i have collected from the park city chamber of comerence about park city, where to eat, golf, ride, play, liquor laws, etc...some infor you may find helpful. if your intrested you could email me, and i could get them to you. my personal email address is...herpurpleness1@msn.com one of our favorite places to eat breakfast in park city is at the top of main street, on the right, called the EE.
(the eating establishment) for pizza my favorite is across from the EE called the red banjo pizza. for golf in the park city area they have 5 different courses. park meadows, and jeremy ranch are our two favorites. but if you want to golf in salt lake at one of the county courses, let me know cause bruce is the head of the parks, recreation, and golf courses in salt lake county. just email me and we can talk more that way. hope you have a good honey, give arthur a little kiss for me.

Cathy, Thanks for the visit and the nice words about my comment. How is our King comming along? Hopefully things have quieted down quite a bit and we now have peace once again. I'm still looking for pictures of him adorning this page soon, since as you have said...he is gaining in popularity on the site. I'm counting on all being well since I really want peace to be in more places than just in my little corner of the world. I know that other places are peaceful, but we aren't told about them, and I want to hear about peace all over, since it seems I keep getting bombarding with talk of war and destruction! Thanks for the visit and do come again.

Thanks for dropping by Cathy. It has been both physically and emotionally draining looking after my father and also my father-in-law. My FIL broke his hip several weeks ago. Luckily I have had two days to myself this week. Bliss.
