Hello Karen, and I'm so glad you could visit. I return the favour by bringing you some Niagara region ice wine and to let you know you're welcome in our vineyards anytime! I'm in Hamilton, so we're not too far away. We ski in Ellicottville, New York all the time and meet great people who come from Ohio. I'm still figuring out the finesse stuff for my home page; I'll be sure to post once I've got things looking a little more inviting. Meanwhile, cheers and have a great weekend!

Not the chain restraunt style stuff but a tray full of authentic Tamales, enchiladas, rice and beans and Chile Relenos (sp?)

Hello KarenK - Thanks for your visit. You are very generous. It would be wonderful to meet you in person. I bet you aren't too far off of the turnpike. We have occasionally taken the turnpike to I-77 when we go to Virginia. I also suspect you get a lot of lake-effect snow in the winter?

I almost exclusively fish Lake Hodgson in Ravenna Ohio. I have a small boat which I trailer to the lake about 5 miles away from home. It's a water supply lake so it is very clean. I have fished Pymatuning, Mosquito, Berlin and West Branch at times. I had a friend who had a boat on Erie and we used to go out on the big lake. I average one Fish Ohio from the lake each year. I caught a 9.5" long bluegill this year.
I have fished the Atlantic, Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico. I enjoy fishing and catching even more. This has been an odd year weather wise.

Trick or Treat!

BTW, I was born in Cleveland and lived for six years in Columbus

How wonderful!!! The worse thing I found out about myself when my first grandson was born was that I . . . . am .. . .. . a .. .. . babyhog. There I said it. While my DIL was pregnant, I wondered if I was really old enough to be a grandma but after he was born, my hands were always out to grab him! I loved holding him and still do. If you haven't found out already, be prepared to love intensely again!

I also see Gail's note about a pregnancy, but am thinking maybe it's your daughter, not you, who is pregnant?? I saw in today's posts that you have a 30 year old daughter. I am very far behind in reading posts & have given up trying to ever catch up. Anyway, I am always glad to see comments from Ohio since I grew up in Cleveland MANY years ago (born in 1946!.
