Hi, again!

I'm just popping in with another link. This is Kathryn Schulz on the topic of being wrong. Sorry, it's almost 18 minutes (warning to those with small internet allowances), but interesting/thought provoking.

One of her thoughts: "Getting something wrong doesn't mean there's something wrong with us."

Another thought on being wrong/right from Ric Elias who was on the plane that went down in the Hudson: "I no longer try to be right; I choose to be happy."

Suzy, I'm sorry I left without answering your question last night, though others have answered. I live in the Central Time Zone. I always get confused about Heidi and MizT though, as it seems to me that Heidi should be in the Central Time Zone and MizT in the Eastern. I'm trying to think of a way to remember. Hmmm, I think MizT and I have the same last initial. Maybe that will help.

MizT, you are really keeping busy! I don't know how you fit everything you do into one day. I'm so glad you got most of your planting done and hope everything grows well for you this year, including your tomatoes! Keeping my fingers crossed that Al had gained (or at least not lost) weight and the scan on Wednesday goes well! Enjoy the visit from Al's brother and cousin on Easter, as well as Joy's coming for dinner!

Tami, it's too bad Dylan's baseball team had to forfeit, but good that they could play a practice game! More fun and less stress!

Suzy, I hope your hubby enjoys his extra day or two. Happy Easter! I hope you have fun with the Easter egg hunt. Please don't worry about the misinformation being spread about why Dana doesn't live at home. Those that matter will know the truth; those who believe the misinformation are those who don't matter.

Heidi, I hope any repairs to your finish mower were not expensive! Welcome home to the budgies and the bunny!

Brenda, good luck with the car shopping/trading in! I hope you find what you want at a good price! Of course, we're looking forward to an update!

Tami, your boss sounds wonderful - to invite you over, pass her old vacuum cleaner on to you, share plants and pots! I hope the car window/motor repair goes well and is under warranty! What a good idea to wait until later in the day (and hopefully cooler) to work outside! (We have only been getting into the 40* F (42* F = 5.55* C) the last few days. Alie's observations are interesting.

When I read the story about the kangaroo I wondered how she got it, how they assumed that it would not get as tall/large/heavy as one in the wild, how it could possibly qualify as a therapy animal. The whole thing sounds a bit off to me. A kangaroo is NOT a dog or even a miniature horse. What are people thinking? Couldn't they find a more appropriate placement for a kangaroo?

I'm not a scientist and I don't know how accurate the information in the following link (about 10 minutes long) is, but it certainly makes you think/wonder about what is happening to the earth:

It's hard to tell Julie, she has made some claims for which there is no scientific evidence and seems a little like an extremist (she gave up her medical career to do nothing but 'educate' people on the dangers of nuclear bombs etc), but she has been widely recognised for her work so maybe most of her work isn't like that. I didn't watch the whole video because of my limited allowance, but did google her and do a little reading.

I read another news story this morning that said radiation from the Japanese reactors is reaching CA at levels 100,000 to a million times UNDER the safety levels. So the people overdosing themselves on iodine pills should really stop panicking.

Suzy, it's so hard to know. I'm sure there are cover-ups, and certainly with radiation, we won't really know the results for a number of years. I can only hope she's wrong.

Good Night! Happy Easter egg hunting to those who enjoy it!

The biggest problem I have with allegations of cover ups Julie, is the number of people who usually would have to be involved. I'm always more skeptical of the people 'uncovering' alleged cover ups than of the original people, until widely accepted evidence is available anyway. Always willing to be proved wrong...

Good night Heidi.

I just made a batch of Anzac biscuits/cookies. I could only make a single batch because I didn't have enough butter for my usual double - and think I should do singles all the time from now on. Every single one turned out nice!

Certainly agree with you Zusy and Heidi about the roo, one swipe of their sharp feet can rip a man's heart out.
On a lighter note Tami and everyone else thought you would appreciate this quote from the other site.

Just got back from shopping and had a quick look on easy. There is some sad news to pass on, Jamie from Aggieland's MIL passed away, and he is asking for our thoughts for his wife and family.

I also hate the journalists who start writing the story knowing the evidence doesn't support the story, but write it with the negative slant anyway! Unethical!!!

Fun night.... thunderstorms.... and delightful morning.... the new sump pump quit and the basement is flooded again. IH never learns, and he put his important papers all over the floor down there. Yep, soaked.

Heidi, I was watching your weather online, and thinking about you and the dogs with the thunder storms. Never occured to me to think about the sump pump malfunctioning again, bummer.

Could you stretch out a line, clothes line fashion, and pin up the soaked papers to dry? Hope the rains subside soon for you.

We were , as late as last night at 10 pm, promised a nice sunny weekend. It is heavily overcast this morning. Weather Forecasters are off the mark once again.

Because most men do not think of things like this, yesterday I asked my BIL and cousin to bring me a plate lunch from the Easter Dinner at cousin's daughter's house. He thought that was an excellent idea, once suggested to him. I feel a bit funny asking, but like I said, men just do not think of things like that.

It turned out that some debris got into the new sump and plugged it. It's running again. I just was talking to the plumber on the phone brainstorming how to stop this constant flooding problem (which shouldn't be happening since the house is on the highest spot on the property) and we came up with a couple of ideas. He isn't having a good day today, tho'. His mother passed away yesterday afternoon.

Happy Easter. Have a great weekend everyone. I'm off after lunch to go geocaching with Amber and her cousin, Taylor. Hopefully we find something. Tomorrow, Amber and Taylor are having an Easter egg hunt at their aunt's house. We are having dinner there, also. Should be fun.

I don't know whether to feel bad for the girl or mother... A 19 or 20 year old girl's mother has posted on her daughter's facebook page that she hasn't been seen since 10pm last night, if anyone has seen her or knows where she is could they please call her mother or brothers.

She's old enough to have crashed with friends and so is probably fine and will be embarrassed, but I'd probably be worried if I was her mother too.

Suzy, it depends on the girl. If she always tells her mom what she is doing, then I agree with the mom. If mom never knows what is going on, it could be mom's way of embarrassing her. My mom always knew where I was (sort of) and that was before cell phones. I got around my curfew by calling and say I was having a great time and I would be home late

At 19 she probably doesn't have a curfew Tami, but she's a fairly odd girl so who knows.

Rena, that sounds like a great weekend!

Heidi, I have that 'can't believe how much I spent' feeling every time I go grocery shopping these days. It won't be long and we'll have to go vegetarian..
