Just got a call from my sister. Her daughter had the baby 10 minutes ago. A girl, 7lbs 2oz and 21 inches long!! No name yet though.

It is lunch time in Oz. Look at the clock. Have you got anything good to eat? We'll come over.

Congratulations Great Aunty Stella. Everything go ok?

Still full from lunch. We went to a buffet today and overate. Like the variety, but my eyes are always bigger than my stomach.

Probably just a toasted ham, cheese and tomato sammich. Just the usual Sat fare.

Stella, good news. Congrats on becoming an aunt.

That doesn't sound bad, Gail, but not worth the trip, I'm afraid.

What if I throw in a cuppa and whip up a slice for afters?

Gail, no heartburn, just have no interest in food right now. Not used to eating a big lunch. I made a little of myself.

She didn't say how things went so I assume there were no problems. The baby is my sister's 4th grandchild. Her oldest daughter has 3 children.

Although, we Southerners think there is not much better than a good tomato sandwich.

That's what I had for lunch a couple of days ago. There wasn't much in the fridge but then I remembered the tomato sandwich convo from earlier in the week so that's what I had. Very refreshing.

Gail, we eat our 'mater sammies with a glass of strong, sweet, iced tea.

Sounds like mommy and baby are ok. Are you too far away to visit?

We northerners think the same Ruby! Still here since the phone rang again (phone is on pooter desk) D#2 called and she has a cold. I'll have to bring her medicine on Sunday. She has her first soccer game tomorrow.

Well, all this talk of sammies is making my tummy play a symphony! I will be back later but if I miss anyone, have a great day/night everyone.

Grew up eating veggie sandwiches. Any combo is good. Cukes, tomato, onion, lettuce, peppers. I still eat radishes, with a little salt, as a snack.

There are regional differences as to what brand of mayonaise to use. (How do you spell mayonaise?)

Pump her full of multivitamins Stella. My Mum's answer to everything!

Stella, hope it's not a bad one.

They are not that far from Brendan's college. I stayed at their apartment when I took Brendan for the scholarship weekend. But I'm sure they have loads of people there. My sister mentioned that her daughter that goes to American University in Washington DC, drove up and they all went together. My sister lives in South Jersey and her daughter is in the north, about 1 1/2 hours away.

I should have reminded her to take her vitamins!
