We didn't get any rain from the cold front that went through. Now the sun's out and it's hot again.

The sun isn't out here but it did get up to 72F. It is very windy though, so it does feel cooler!

After a couple of those Mensa books I swore off.

Just one of those days! S#2 forgot his flute and soccer cleats so I had to drive all the way down to his school. Hubby met me for lunch at TGIF's, but hen I felt sick afterward. When I got home there was a message that the insurance will not pay for the brake sensor because the dealership said it's not unusual for the sensor to go. Even though we never had a problem with it before the accident. Then the repair shop called and said it would be $300 to fix the sensor, even though the part is only $35!!!

On a happy note, D#2 called and said they finally got her internet to work. That made her very happy!!

Ouch. So now you know why the insurance isn't paying for it. What does that particular sensor do?

Some of the puzzles are ridiculously easy and others are pretty tough. Most of the really easy ones I just skip over.

Good for D#2. I've been concerned about her. I hope she has made some friends there in the interim. That is more important to making this change a success than having contact with old friends will.

On a positive note, I got four hours of sleep in the dark last night. I'm resisting the urge to nap so that I'll sleep even more tonight. Got to get this day/night thing tackled.

Not a drop of Humberto rain here. But that is also the name of the cutest waiter at our Mexican restaurant. They always put the good-looking ones out front.

MizT, your squirrel story is quite a hit. People are still talking about it.

I laughed so much when I read that squirrel story, I had tears rolling down my face! I could just SEE it happening.

If you like funny stories, Jim McManus' "The Night the Bear Ate Goombah" is one of the funniest stories ever written.

I am afraid the Aussies will think squirrels are really viscious creatures! this one was just afraid, and trying to HIDE hehehe

Ruby, I must go and get dressed for public viewing. Al is taking me out to donner and by chance, we are ging to get Mexican. And they do have nice looking young waiters at our local resturant also! about 6 of them!

Sorry Ruby, was called away by phone call after phone call. Then hubby could not find his credit card. Last time he remembered having it was at our lunch. Searched everywhere and then calle the restaurant. It was there!! He had to drive all the way back, 30 miles one way! What a day!
