Oops, sounds like the Upstate didn't share in any of our rain. Of course, it was not real helpful as far as restoring the grass or any gardens, etc., but it did, at least, rain.

Yes, Cyndi. Allergies, sinus and bronchitis. Three years ago I had pneumonia from it, so I went to the doctor before it got that far this time.

I don't think it's fair to be charged for water. What I pay for is a water license. Which is paid once a year and gives me the right to use the water source.

I'm so glad it didn't get to pneumonia. Once you've had it, you're susceptible to it returning.
I think I finally got rid of my sinus infection.

Give me some tips on taking these pills. I broke them in two, but I still get choked.

I was thinking maybe crush them and put them into a drink or food.

As far as I know, the charge is the same for the same type of usage. We have three. Two are domestic use because we have more than one house on the property, and one is for irrigation. There is also supposed to be a limit on the number of gallons per day. We have the licenses because we are rural.

I'm not supposed to break them because they are time-released. I'll try the butter.

That sounds a little more fair, Rena.

Rena, does anyone have wells? My sister has a well on her property.

In 2005 our bill was $22 for irrigation and $19 each for domestic.

Becky, some pills are not meant to be crushed, but theyare supposed to tell you that on the pill bottle.
Rena, are city and suburban areas billed for licenses as well? Does anyone live in your second house? (okay, that's just plain nosy!)

Having a well drilled has become quite expensive.

It was already there when they bought the house. My brother had to have a new well drilled because their neighbor tapped into the vein. I think they charged him per foot. I think the total was a little over $600.

Rena, if that figure was for the year, that's fantastic. Bills around here run more than that per month.

We have two wells, one on our property and one off, but the water comes from a spring and a creek, so we still need to pay for the license.

For each license it is 500 gallons a day.
If you live in a city or town you don't pay for a license, I think it is included in taxes. It might be different in other places.
Yes, our other house is rented out to pay our mortgage.

RUBY, when Mom was in assisted living, and it got hard for her to swallow her pills, they gave them in a spoonfull of cool whip. That might taste better than butter. The nurse said it helped them get pills down all the patients who had trouble swallowing.

Good mrning all! Heavy rain last night so cooler this morning. A tree in my back yard has turned bright red! I LOVE all of the different colors that fall brings in the trees!

MizT, sounds like a good idea with the whipped cream. I was trying to think of something else when I read about the butter, and as much as I like butter, I don't think I would want to put it around a pill. Oh, how about mayonnaise?
