This is what I mean by arbitrary answers...if my calculations are right, the answer might be that P, E, and R are each worth 10. L, U, N, G, and D are each worth 15. Nothing to do with vowels and consonants.

I'm not sure what you mean Ian. Your point system seems random. Would it work no matter what color you chose?

If you take the letter/value scheme above, it works for purple (70), green (60), and red (35). If you apply it to orange, it gives a value of 50 for RNGE. Any value you place on "o" and "a" (including zero), means that the value of orange is 50 plus that value, and it would be consistent with, and not contradict, the other three.

Find the word in the bottom row that best completes the following sequence.

HIGH ABSURD DELIGHT START ________

a) LIFT b) PLAY c) NOTE d) COLOR

(Why? I took a guess and was right but had no idea why. They do explain in their answer.)

Stella: I don't think the link exists anymore, or at least, I haven't been able to find it. You can get them one at a time through the archives, but there have been problems, I think related to the changing of the host server (or whatever it's called) for this site. Nearly all the pictures are one or two days off from the comments posted about them.

Stella: But try these:

//sudoku.com.au/Gallery.aspx?d=P (parents)

//sudoku.com.au/Gallery.aspx?d=V (tough)

//sudoku.com.au/Gallery.aspx?d=H (hard)

//sudoku.com.au/Gallery.aspx?d=M (medium)

//sudoku.com.au/Gallery.aspx?d=E (Easy)

I was not able to post the entire address (possible a security measure), so put in h t t p with a colon at the beginning of each one.

I didn't even try to figure this one out.

Find a six-digit number in which the first digit is three less than the second and five less than the third, the third digit is two less than the fourth, the fifth digit is six less than the fourth and the last digit is double the fifth. The sum of all the digits is 32.
