Hi Gail, how are you? I'm having trouble seeing since I don't have my glasses, so it is hard to read.

We're leaving for the track in a few minutes. It is chair day, so you get a free chair with admission. D#1 wants to get a bunch for her suite at college. The weather is beautiful this morning but with the sun, it will get very hot later. I don't think we'll even stay for the first race (1pm) but we'll look at the horses warming up.

Stella I have a similar problem, I need my distance glasses to see the screen but need my reading glasses to type or read information I have to transfer to the pooter, but I can't get used to wearing vary focal glasses

I'm Queen Cleopatra about my eyes! This sitting at the pooter thingy is still all relatively new so I tell myself I can see fine. To be honest, as it is late here, the screen is a little blurry.

Yesterday, Eve said she hadn't heard from the other ''winners'' of her tv guessing contest. So I tried to think of something ''clever'' and I just thought people would respond to it, but alas, no. They just moved on to the next topic.

Yeah, I'm about to take myself off to bed. Hubby is going in to work tomorrow. He usually takes Mondays off, but has swapped it for Tuesday because it will be his birthday.

I just went back to read your speech Stella. I thought it was very clever when I read it the first time but that was a couple of hours after you'd posted. I particularly liked the last line about the daisies!

Have fun today Stella, Hubby just said goodnight to me so I suppose that's my cue! I'm sure I will have good dreams Stella but I never remember them. Hubby is forever telling me in detail about his!

Gail, my hubby NEVER remembers his dreams either and I am always telling him mine in detail. I always thought it was strange because in my family we always discussed our dreams because they were like major motion pictures. His family never discussed them because none of them ever remembered having dreams. He'll be happy to know that there are others out there who don't remember!

Hi, I rarely remember dreams unless I have been reading a scary book (or even Harry Potter )then I have strange dreams. None that I remember now though

Hi everyone...Stella, I certainly must agree with Ian(bet that will be a big suprise for him). He seems to have felt as I did that although very clever..it stood on its own merit, a great response...followup would only have ruined it! You know one doesn't want to mess with perfection!

Good evening all! We're back in the soupy weather again. We only stayed for the first two races, the place was packed. A horse went down after the first race. It seemed he was overheated. It was pretty scarey. It didn't look like he was going to be able to get up. It took them 10 minutes to get him stabilized and then the horse ambulence took him away. It wasn't as though it was really out out, (it was in the low 80's) so I think the horse had a problem before that was exacerbated by the race.

Hi All, just passing through and saw the light on.

well, been busy today cleaning, washing, the usual Monday 'stuff' at home.
May as well finish the cleaning, by tidying up here...Stack the Chairs, Sweep the floor, Wash the cups, Put some flesh tulips in the vases.

and bring my comfy chair to the SA3 room...
room ready for the next meeting ....
now to turn off all but one light.
(Would hate Gath to end up with a huge Electricity Bill because the lights were left on!!)

No-one here? Darn, now there's no excuse for it. I'll just have to go feed the tribe! Back later.
