about the same, a repeat of this weeks weather, it is now 68 (20), going to 91 (33), partly cloudy, not as much humidity. with the temps dropping into the 60's over night, maybe cooler weather is to come soon.

Sorry, 110 is not the answer and here is why.
1/2 of 110 = 55 + 5 = 60, leaving 50 left; 1/2 of 50 = 25 + 10 = 35, leaving 15. But J only had 10 stamps leftover, not 15.

Oh, I think that this weather is a vast improvement over what we had. But, of course, we still need rain.

Yes, ruby, a great improvement on the weather, AND my grass needs cutting again today, well, not the front, but the rest, the green stuff we have instead of a lawn, out back. Enugh moisture left from the rain, it is growing too fast. I might make the neighbors hate me, AND a sleeping hubby too, if I crank up the mower this erly. I best wait a couple hours.

RUBY, I need to come up with a "I am not really here" Avatar, for these girls who keep claiming that, Gail and now Stella hehehe
STELLA, how does it feel, nowhere to have to go this weekend? You have been so busy lately.

I'm trying to get things together to get to the post office, store, bank etc. I'm also trying to get some pics together to get them printed. Sale ends today of 12 cents per print and I've waited til the last minute!

Yep, Ruby, even my big new riding mower needs dry grass, for traction! Wheels might spin on the wet grass. It is not so wet it could not cut it, but would make a sticky mess under the mower deck.

I am more the opposite, I must get things done EARLY, and marked off my list. I have a fear of running out of time and not being able to deliver if I am not ready early. Too many times I had things interfere at last minute and if I had not started early, would never have finished. Guess that was a life lesson for me. Strange how we develope our habits, isn't it?
how about the rest of you. Wait till the last minute? Or have to get it done early? AND who makes lists and who does not?
APPY, here is a topic of conversation for today hehehe

My mower has a thing-a-ma-bob on top of the deck that receives a garden hose. Turn on the water and turn on the blade and it cleans itself.

Ruby, do you get a cheap thrill from racing toward the deadline and then beating it? a surge of adrenaline maybe? I do think that is what drives my hubby. Beating the clock, winning the game, against higher and higher odds, ie waiting later and later to start.
Dr Phill says we always get a payoff from our chosen behavior, we get something from it, and that is what I think he gets. OR when it is something he really does not want to do, occasionally something comes along and he does not have to do it after all.
I am TRYING to learn to live with his behavior. I cannot change his behavior. I can only change how I react to it.

Yes André, the answer is 90!
I had to work backward when figuring it but this is the explanation.
1/2 of 90 = 45 + 5 = 50, leaving 40; 1/2 of 40 = 20 + 10 = 30, leaving 10!

ANDREE, I thought I trid 90 and it did not work. But I discovered I was using how many stamps were given in first step, not how many left, I read it wrong!
proof
90/2+5=50
90-50=40
40/2+10=30
50+30=80
80+10=90

ok, one last one before I go. This is easy, but it is cute.
A line from a song from a famous movie is given in fancy language below. Put it back into usual phraseology.
There is a remote location beyond an arc of a spectrum of colors. In this location, the ethereal atmosphere is cerulean.

RUBY, you have only one pencil? I should send you some of the extras around here. I think my pencils and pens breed and reproduce in the dark of the desk drawers, even when stuck in the jars or cups that hold them on desks and tables. My chore for next week, sort through, and ANYTHING that no longer writes, goes OUT! I am almost certain I could round up over 100 writing sticks around here! heck, maybe that many mechanical pencils alone.
AND if I could find where the cats hidey hole of great kitty treasures was, probably twice that many! they love to knock them off any table or desk, reason for so many pencile holders scattered about. I have watched them bat a pencile about and then sit and look over the edge when it falls, OH, it worked AGAIN heheheh Once a pencil is on the floor, they dissapear!
