BECKY, WOW, you are getting good with these puzles! Looks to me like it satisfies all the criteria, must be it! Congrats, girl!

Brenda, I can always find a cup of coffee for a friend! That i made earlier is long gone, but that is a good thing, left over coffee tastes YUCK, I will make you fresh.

Stella and Appy, will pass on to Al the greetings from you, many thanks.

I have been busy today trying to get stuff done and trying to take care of the ticket D#1 got when that car stopped in front of her. They make you jump through hoops and every few years they change the way they handle them!

I'm only up to February in the calendar and I've even skipped some of the questions I thought were way too easy or just dumb. Here's another one.

Fill in the blanks below to complete the names of four famous British writers.

_ O _ R _ D

_ I _ _ E _ S

_ H _ _ E _ P _ _ R _

T _ _ C _ _ R _ _

A bit of a soupy day today, 90F and humid. Thunderstorms are supposed to roll in over the weekend due to the heat and humidity.

We got caught in some of the traffic for the US Open last weekend when we visited my mom. We could see the Blimp that takes the aerial shots over the stadiums.

Hi Becky and Brenda! Brenda must have gone to bed by now.

I think this the first weekend we don't have anything particular planned. Brendan has a couple of away soccer games, but we aren't going to them. Just trying to catch up on some of the things I've let slide.

D#2 finally called after dinner this evening. She sounded a little strained. She made friends but she said she had no best friend yet. I reminded her that her best friends from home did not happen over night or even in a few days. I think she felt better. I feel bad though. I hope it gets better once they have some time to relax on Sunday and Monday.

Here's another easy one.

J bought a large number of stamps to give as gifts to his two friends. One friend received half of the stamps, plus 5. The second friend received half of what was left, plus 10. In the end, J kept 10 for himself.

How many stamps did J start out with?

YEAH JUNE, that seems to be it. Very good. I looked at it and set up an equasion, then forgot how to solve for X, shows just how rusty math can be , use it or loose it, and I have lost it completley hehehe I did get far enough to think it was just over 100, but close only counts in hand grenades and horse shoes

Miz T ...its late and my daughter, granddaughter and my daughter's friend just left. We celebrated her birthday today...so she and Al are both Virgos, while you and I are both Gemini...how about that.....! Wishes to Al for a great year and many more. Peace to all. Good to see AP join us even if I wasn't a part of the convo. Hope all who show up after this comment have a great day, and those who are near bedtime have a great night.

It was a cool day here. Finished painting out the wardrobe which Hubby was supposed to do about three months ago. Went looking for some plastic boxes to accommodate some of the accumulated rubbish from the wardrobe (bought the wrong ones so will have to take them back).
Had a friend call in for coffee. Meanwhile Hubby went to baseball (coaches U/14) then went and played bowls!!! Now I am cranky because I cooked a lovely dinner of corned beef, potatoes, onions, carrots, broccholi, cauliflower with seeded mustard sauce and he insisted in carrying on a conversation with a friend the whole time he ate his dinner!!!!

JUNE, I agree with Appy, here is another country checking in, and my hubby has done the same thing. OR, he will be chatting with a friend, by phone or out on the porch and will not come in for dinner. "You go ahead and eat, I will be in later". I prefer NOT to eat alone, thank you. AND If I take time to cook, it would be very nice if he would take time to come and eat.
