Almost 20 pages since I've been here.

Wedding done, taxes done, and insurance application filled out for the 3rd time in 4 months. Hubby told me I looked like I wanted to cry after he handed me the last app. Told him, I was debating the merits of becoming an adult runaway.

Bean, know this is late, but any bread that won't be used before going stale can be used as croutons for salads (cube and toast in the oven), crust for casseroles or coating for meats. I do this all the time.

What a wonderful day for a birthday...haven't actually 'spoken' to the girl yet..
Rena..ghastly stunt to pull with your ankle...I've actually 'majored' and have a degree in turning ankles...most spectacular was when I was 21 and I fell down a step that I hadn't seen [yep ... inebriated again..]in a crowded restaurant! EMBARRASSING or what!! I passed out with the pain of it and the doctor couldn't get over the fact that I hadn't broken anything... it was black and the size of a football. Apparently I tore just about every ligament in my foot. Over 3 months before I could walk without limping.

Hello Bean, had a similar accident on a skateboard, first timer at 30 years old!and had only one drink before but..... 8 pins and a plate later!
They had no room in the orthopedic ward so put me in the kids ward! My cousins came in a draped little plastic skateboards all around my bed.

Lots of strange things happen to me....life!
A few weeks after my mum died I felt her stroke my cheek with the back of her hand. She had the softest skin and her touch was unmistakable. I was wide awake and stone cold sober at the time. It took a while before I was game to tell anyone...didn't want to be carted off to the 'funny' farm before my time.

I was being rather maudlin at my nephews wedding - weddings can be such emotional things and at one stage I was a bit teary and emotional and all of a sudden mum's song was being sung by the band. It was so out of keeping with the rest of the music being played that it pulled me up short. It was nice to think that she was there at her favourite grandsons wedding. She always said she would send me a message if it wasn't too hot where she ended up - she was a bit of a devil like her daughter!

I have never been game enough to try skateboarding...would love to have a go at roller blading one day. We have a hilarious photo of me hanging onto a flagpole/goalpost for grim death on my birthday..not sure which one...somewhere between 40 and 50. It was my request for the day...that the boys get me up on a pair of lachies blades! One day I will master it!
