I've never met anyone from here. There is one person from my town on this site. I'm kind of shy so unless it was a large group gathering, I don't think I could do it.

When we were at Disney Epcot, we went into the Lion King Circle of Life. It turned out to be a movie about how humans are ruining the environment and that we are wasteful, take over the land without thinking about the consequences and don't recycle. The irony was that there were very few places to recycle at Disney. I always recycle and saved up all of my soda bottles and clean paper/cardboard and put them in a box because I couldn't find a recycle bin. The cleaners just took the box and threw it in the garbage. The movie really annoyed me because of that.

I've only been to California once, back in the early 80's, before kids. My daughter wants to go to school in California. I told her she can't because it's too far away!

Wonder how much land Disney took over too Stella.
We do a lot of recycling here, the local authority collects some but not everything which can be recycled. Those things I have to take down to the local refuse dump. Even there they check your bags to make sure that you aren't putting recyclable things in the wrong skips.

We have seperate garbage bins for the rubbish to be recycled. They pick up the recycle bin every second week and the other rubbish every week.
And on that note I have a big lunch and drive tomorrow, so will bid you ladies good evening.

BRENDA, I am headed outside to work next, need my electric whipper snipper ( string trimmer) around all the buildings and edges. I am trying to "work harden" again this year, I cannot do much at a time with the weed eater, but years ago, I learned you can tolerate most anything for 10 or 15 minutes. Take a rest, and go back again. heck, when I first got online on computers, I could not sit and read/type long without pain. I started the 15 min a sitting several times a day, and increased a minute a week, using a timer. Now look at me! But I could do more consistantly and frequently the computer than I can the weed eater. things like must wait for the morning dew to dry, and must avoid the hottest part of the day, limits just when I can get out. then there are the rainy days, and the days I must go out . . . but It is gradually getting done! I might finish all around the buildings I choose to do, before I have to start again!

OH, Brenda, that sounds like a LOT for one week. I shall breathe in teh fresh air a bit deeper, stop to look at the blue skies a bit longer, and relish the nice breeze more often, just for YOU! this before it gets HOT by mid afternoon today!
Must make my lawn mower and weed eater smilies soon!

Huumm, where is everyone today? No posts since mid morning?
I did get outside and some weed eating done. The sun got very hot very early today, but luckily the humidity is still very low for us. my lips feel dry and chapped it is so below our norm. Now Rolanda would probaly think it is HIGH, they are so much drier than we are.
Back to more stuff, I do not seem able to catch up from that 6 weeks my hip was being a pain and I let things slide.

Watch they don't report you for cruelty MizT. No food, I'm sure they would survive a little while
Reason it has been so quite is that the server seems to have been down for quite a few hours.

(barely, it is 11:00am) to one and all. Yesterday I was sad and lonely. Couldn't get here but I was able to do the puzzles last night. Couldn't sign in and didn't have comments on easy. It is all fixed now. Hooray! Unfortunately, I have work to do.
Hopefully I will get back here before there are too many pages to read.

MizT, I know what you mean about 'work harden'. I sometimes feel like I'm starting from scratch lately! We have a friend who does Aikido and we went for a while. The tumbles were too hard on my neck, but I have never been able to do so much without pain! The warm ups are magic and the effects lasted for days.

Back to the recycling conversation... we have a large recycle bin collected once every 2 weeks, and a small rubbish bin collected every week. If you don't count green waste, neither are ever filled - unless my mother is visiting and then the recycle bin is chockers with pepsi bottles.
Interestingly, when I have work, they fill up faster....

The horses have gone home for a while. Hopefully they'll come back before hubby has to mow again. It saves at least 4 hours on a weekend.

Stella - I know what you mean about schools too far away! Although my ds have 3.5 and 6.5 years to go I am already thinking about it. We're hoping the local branch of a Uni will have more courses available by the time our kids start. It would save us a fortune in accomodation costs too.

Well I'm off to make myself beautiful for a photo. Or try anyway. Hubby informs me I must have one taken for work. I always try to avoid getting my photo taken, but he is being nagged and so is nagging me. Then I'm off to buy milk and coffee early. The shops are insane at the mo, probably a combination of school holidays and the upcoming long weekend. I'm hoping if I get in early I'll actually be able to get a parking spot.
