The interesting thing about googling me, is a bunch of Suzy Oz's come (or the same one multiple times) that aren't actually me, though my page does too.... It's not a nice feeling really.

Hi all, lovely morning over here today, started off a bit hazy but now sun is shining. I've just got back from taking Callie for a walk and now have to settle down and do some work. BUT couldn't do that without checking on here first.

CynB we get Eastenders and Coro 'realtime' if it is xmas , easter etc that is the time we see it. They film only a week or so ahead of real time. As I have said I watch Neighbours which we are behind
Australia. Carmella has just had her baby. I try to keep off the website and look at the spoilers for that but sometimes you just have to know what is going to happen

Suzy I wouldn't worry too much about the fact that our pages are open to be googled. If anyone wanted to find out details on a person there are many ways to find out. I don't know what your system is for electoral register, we have to fill a form in every year and this is open to anyone to access.

A few years ago we were inundated with visits from the press. Some juicy bit of gossip had broken about an actress having had an affair with some other famous person and there was a child involved. Well that child happened to be my husbands business partner. As he was out of the country at the time, the press found out about our connection with him and decided we might be able to provide details and photographs of him (he was 43 at the time) This was all done with public records from companies house. The press were very disappointed when we couldn't help them (or wouldn't) as this was all a surprise to us too.

Hi Brenda - can't help you with 'Neighbours' - haven't seen it since my daughter left home when she got married in 1997! It was always a bone of contention in our house - that and 'Home amd Away'. When she started working she bought her own TV so she could watch it. Funny thing is now she has children she chooses not to watch it any more because they were picking up on too much! How things change!

Rolanda and June - thanks for your good wishes for tomorrow's gathering - I'm ready to go with my camera and chicken surprise!

We get Home and Away here too but I haven't watched that in years, never really got into it. It was my daughter who got me back to watching Neighbours. I watched when it first came on then stopped for a good many years until Daughter came back from uni and started watching it again. Sad eh.

Still want to know what the "chicken surprise" is Cyn? am getting worried

Lovely day here today, sunny and warm, 55F. It's supposed to get up to 78! Much warmer than it was in Florida!

Brenda, no, not recovered yet! Still have to unpack and do lots of laundry. I sent Max to school today even though he still wasn't feeling well. He can't afford to get any further behind. He already missed two days of school when we left because it took two days to drive down to Florida. My throat is a little sore this morning, but I think it may be allegies with everything blooming.

Plus, he was driving me crazy yesterday while he was home and I didn't get much done!

I guess I'll put the kettle on for some tea. My sister-in-law also made some pinea (sp?) bread for us, which is very good. Then back to the stuff. Also have to get my pictures off the cameras. That will take a while! Have a great day/night everyone!

Hope your throat is due to allergies and nothing more. It doesn't hurt the kids to go to school if they are not 100% if he was well enough to cause you to go crazy then he is well enough to attend school. My kids had to be extremely ill before they were allowed to stay off school. They miss too much in just a couple of days. I don't think they ever really catch up properly, if you miss all the explainations in a lesson or questions your peers have asked then you miss out on a lot.

I just noticed that the time is different. Were the clocks changed in Australia? Maybe I'm just carlagged from my trip. I thought it used to changeover at 9am here.

Weather here has become really nice and has already passed the expected high by 2C we are basking in 18C sunshine at present or would be if I didn't have work to do.
Got to go and hang some washing out so will see some of that sun

Yes, that's especially true with Max. He tends to daydream anyway, so it takes twice as long to catch up. My other 3 never had any problems catching up, but they are all focused!

We have gone back to EST Stella, moved back an hour.

Oh these girls Brenda, you never know what they are going to get up to next! Be afraid, very afraid!!

It's been so warm here that all of the snow was gone when we returned. We usually don't get rid of the snow until the very end of April or sometimes the beginning of May. But we haven't had any rain and everything has dried out very fast. It's amazing how dry it got even with all of the snow and rain over the winter. I guess the hot sun really makes a difference!

I had to rush this morning to get my youngest to school over the other side of town and to get DH to the station (both for 9 o'clock) managed it. then got a text message from daughter to say that her first two lessons had been cancelled

Broni, who all is going to the gathering? Is it far from you?

Brenda, what level/grade is she in? Don't they have a substitute to cover the class?

We have Martha, Victoria(vicki), Madby3, CynB, Mary, Linda, K and me and if I have left anyone out....I forget!

She is in year 12, which is the first year of her Alevel exams. I'm not sure how that compares with schools in the USA She could have left school last year after her GCSE exams, but is studying for a further 2 years and then she applies to go to university. So a lot of her lessons are based on her own research on the given topic for the day. As long as she has the topic it doesn't really matter if her teacher is present. Someone will be there to supervise them. As she starts exams in three weeks she is doing a lot of revision work.

I wonder what CynB has in mind for her 'chicken surprise' in my mind I can see her turning up dressed as a chicken (I know I have a weird imagination)

I wish there were more people in the uk so we could have a meet up, I know there was one last year but I was heading out to Canada and couldn't attend. Never heard how it went either
