Brenda - thank God for your electric shower!!!
How is Celia doing, anyway? Give her our SA best!
Stella - can just imagine the mad rush that move-out of Brendan's...no wonder you are exhausted. Sounded like a Chinese fire drill - hehe!
OK - heading off for puzzles in a moment.
Been way busy looking throught websites that Bean has been sending my way - WOW is there a lot to see...sounds like I should be staying for 3 months instead of 3 weeks.
Thanks Beanie for all the hard work you are putting in. I'm going to be so spoiled!

HEIDI, you finished with half an hour to spare, good for you. Did you enjoy your "ride" today? Looks like instead of rescuing collies, you should have rescued a good working dog breed that could have put those cows wherever you wanted.
STELLA, you seemed to take your son's unpreparedness in stride. Sheesh, no way I could ever have not been packed and ready, would have lived out of boxes for 3 days to ensure I was packed on time. My father would have looked at that mess and said "get in the car" and I would have lost all my stuff. Or if he packed it himself because of it's monetary value, he would have taken it home and sold it!
But I learned that my actions had consequences.

SUSANNE, if you steal (copy) the sunflower of Vici's, you should take it to the shrinkpictures website, and set the box for 50. Vici's smilie is probably 100x100, too big for an avatar, it would be rejected. Paying members smilies can be larger than avatars.

Well as it happens Suzy.. MIL does live nearby Maddington, and so do I. I was at MIL's when looking outside saw the black smoke. On way home heard about the Petrol Tanker on Fire at the Petrol STation. We had driven past about a hour or so before the fire.

CYN, glad you sorted out that government error. Bureaucracy at it's finest. Your job sounds fun. Now is the shop heated and air con? What will you do for your hand work. I happen to have some applique and embroidery needs doing if you are at a loss for what to do. OH SHUCKS, she could always take a book of sudoku puzzles, duh!
SUZY, I was out of the loop also, VICI saved the day for us. The birth dates I had saved on my puter are lost with this last computer damage.
Rolanda, I am wondering why yours did not show up on the birthdays. Huumm, maybe i should check mine, and see if info is there. Just a bit over a month for me, boy time flies.
Well, a search of my bog swamp did not turn up the correct color embroidery floss ( does not mean it is not in there, but I have spent enough time searching all the logical places) , nor the correct color machine thread for my machine applique. DRATS. Means I must go shopping soon and I hate shopping. There is something I can do today without it though. Measure, cut or add to get each border to correct length. I did get them all to correct width yesterday.
Baby steps, but babies can cover some territory, just ask any mom hehehe
Off I go again.

MizT... that smilie of Vici's looks a lot like an avatar I gave Suzanne.
The cattle have been worked. We ended up sorting out little Survivor, and decided to start him on a bottle. He wasn't growing. Survivor is a twin who was rejected by his mama. He's been sneaking up on other cows and nursing on them. But he hasn't been getting enough, just enough to survive.

Vici, I didn't smell that bad.. did I?
Celia is doing ok. She used to be a crossword addict but unfortunately she cannot do them now also finding things all the time that she cannot do, but health wise she is doing ok. We went out for lunch, it is something we do every so often, apart from going to the shops it is the only time she goes out.

Sounds like more work for you Heidi bottle feeding a calf. How old is he? Hopefully it will not be quite as intesive a feeding regime if he is a little older...I may be wrong on that as I have never had to do it.

Viv pleased that you got the employment thing sorted and so pleased that you have found what sounds like a fun job, when it is busy, so quickly.
Pleased to hear that the boss has told you that you can take knitting or books with you. Sometimes bosses at these places don't like you to do anything other than wait around for customers.

Hi Brenda.... I was just leaving birthday greetings on Rolanda's page.
It's gonna be really hard to feed this calf. He's already 3 weeks old. I'm gonna have to wrestle with him for a while just to get the bottle in his mouth. He'll struggle and kick like a madman. I've done this before with a calf that lost his mama when he was a week old. I am not excited by the prospect.

HI NOLA, glad you got here today. sorry we were so verbose. I had the same problem last night, pages to read!
Brenda and all, I have just found scanned images of 5 of the bluework blocks I have used in my quilt. If anyone wants to take a look, they are the first 5 in my album. They are not actual size, cause my scanner bed is letter sized 8 1/2 x 11, but my blocks are larger, 12 inches square. They might give you some idea though.
I still have not asked hubby about camera that was left in the rain. He is busy now putting a ramp on the smallest storage shed. Has hopes of actually putting the riding mower inside.

Heidi, that calf is old enough to drink out of a bucket. Will he suck your fingers?
Stella, sorry about Hubbies cousin. What a job getting everyone home for the holidays. Then it all goes back in a couple of months?
Pleased the quilt is coming along MizT. It will be nice to see it finally finished.
Enjoy your lunch with Celia, Brenda.
Glad you are an early person Nola.
Rather windy here, need to shut a few doors that are creeking. Must be worse where you are Suzy.

Yes, June, he is old enough, but he doesn't know what a bucket is. I want to get him started drinking the milk where I can make sure he gets enough. Once he learns that I provide his milk, I can then switch him to a bucket.

Love that rose Suzanne! (Good one Heidi!)
Dino is supposed to be coming here today but I am not sure what is happening as I have not heard from her since early in the week. Not even sure if she has my address and I have lost her new mobile phone number(she has my home phone# so should not be a problem).
I have two photos on the pages today. One on jigsaw and the other on the parents page but I pretend that one is not there.(do not ask. A DIL problem!)
Back to bed and put my cold feet on Hubby!!!

Heidi, you have had more thunderstorms and bad weather than you need. do not blame you for being tired of it. I would too. I remember once back in the 80's we had a entire month with no sunshine, rain, and more rain, storms and flash flooding, even running in the streets of Downtown Birmingham ( where we had an office). I was ready to buy a one way ticket to any where that had sunshine!

June, it has been very windy here overnight! Gusts almost 100kph. At 4.30 this morning BOM tells me the steady wind was 76kph. I should go and check the front yard to see how many branches dropped.

HEIDI, yeah, finches on a nest, hope you get babies this time. 2 weeks, right?
Suzanne, sorry I missed you. I like all roses but the peachy ones are a favorite. Heidi's pink one is not too shabby either.
