Plant Humidity Detector

This little frog fellow monitors the moisture in your plant's soil. If the moisture level is too low, he'll alert you with a low intermittent chirp when it's time to water again.

vdV, just looked at your brother's web site. He has some cool stuff on it but would hate to know how much it would cost to ship to the states.

Judy.... I find that fresh fruit from the orchard is always appreciated. They ship. But that's probably more than you care to pay. Unless you want to outdo him and make him feel cheap. (It can be mean, but I have sibs that I don't speak to, either).

The almond fingers are nice but at 200cal/biscuit you don't want to have many!

I want the remote control drink cooler. That would be great to have at a party. Saw the mankini, also. The scary thing is, I could see it on Ft. Lauderdale beach, being worn by some guy who needs to lose about 100 pounds.

Judy, what about movie tickets? Cheap to ship and he will have to pay for the popcorn.

I will keep that in mind. I am almost done with my shopping and am not allowed to buy myself anything. I am glad you posted the link, I enjoyed looking at the stuff.

The mankini is scary enough without being worn by someone 50kg over weight!!!

Steve... I just attempted to order something, and while filling out the info, got to "Country" and it would only allow Australia. Frustrating.

Heidi - I do speak to him, he's a nice guy, well-meaning and all, but very loud, very "in your face". He's a lot older than me, so I didn't have much to do with him when I was young, but we really have very little in common.

Steve - I'll show the page to Rob, see if there's anything there that he fancies. Who knows, he might have a hankering for a man-kini ... or possibly a new wine-rack.

Bye Steve, thanks for the suggestions!
Heidi - I think most families are pretty weird in their own particular way! I get on really well with my sister, but she's not coping too well at the moment - my parents have pretty much cut her off because she suggested (to the police) that Mum shouldn't be driving any more - I think it was Mum going round a round-about the wrong way that clinched it! Mum's 84 and obviously has dementia, Dad's 86 and I'm not sure how much he can actually see. I really don't think either of them should be driving, but they seem to see it as their God-given right. And no-one seems to be checking that people are actually fit to drive - that's a big worry to me!

It sure sounds like your sister did a brave thing, and tried to save their lives. Too bad they can't see it that way.

Hi folks...
Bit of reading to catch up on..
Heidi...yes, their is a difference between depressing and morbid. Personally I wouldn't find it depressing...I think I would find it the opposite...a place to remember absent friends and reminisce ... recall what a difference knowing them and being part of their lives via this wonderful cyber medium.

That was only my opinion, Bean. This isn't a dictatorship, nor would I have to look at it if I didn't want to.
