Broni - we call them bush orchids but I think they are an iris as opposed to an actual orchid. We have them in profusion in our front garden. We didn't plant them, they just sprout eveywhere.

I have only read up to page 39. However, I see eaa's comment about going on a summer holiday. I better keep reading.

i have a nearly black brearded iris but as soon as the irises start to flower the wind blows and they get bashed about.

Hi, Dizzy Lizzy, I liked your description of deep water hydrotherapy! I wish we had warmer water in our indoor pool (only goes to 4 1/2 feet). Of course, with outside temperatures around 25* F, the outdoor pool (gradual increase to 11 feet, I think) has been closed since the end of September.

Heidi and Suzy, I wish I could send you a virtual turkey dinner with all the trimmings. We won't have any of that in our house either, but will have dinner with MIL at her assisted living location. Shall we talk about bland food?

Hi, eaa. It sounds like juvenile devils are kind of like our kids. You can't let them out of your sight or they're in the road and not watching for cars. You're also right that dogs and kids don't just play in puddles, they also make them. I liked your apple sauce comment. (I also had to read it a couple of times to make sense of it.)

Broni, it sounds like Bella is a bit like kids, too. If there's a puddle, at least one foot MUST be in it. I like your new bedroom suite.

Tami, thanks for the information about the Macy's parade. It's a good one to watch if you have time.

CynB, I'm sorry to hear that the storms messed with your electrical power. Wouldn't you know that a "waterproof" switch would be a problem when it gets wet? I hope the electrician was able to sort it out.

Tami, I hope your herbs are growing well. We don't have any plant growing inside, as the cats tend to eat or dig at them.
