June, thanks. I missed most of yesterday and finally just got caught up (more than 10 pages). Had trouble keeping up on everything, so now open up notepad and cut/paste. Now you all know my secret. Not a great memory, just "cheat" a little.

vici! you didn't fall in your pond! i'm so glad. missed you last night. the bear story will give me nightmares tho. yep, i have scary bear dreams. i lived in alaska until i was 8 and i heard of or had tons of bear encounters. i have the same prblems with tornados from living in wisconsin.

Mariana - I would have bear fears if I had been in Grizzly country - but have always had peaceful encounters here in California. Seen many during my trips to Yosemite...some of those tend to be a bit forward as they know there are Cheetos around!

i want to hang out and chat, but i have loads of things to get done today. cleaning, planting, the "L" word, shopping, plus make sure all my little cuties stay out of mischief. i had better go get my . can't really do much without it!

The bears at our house in Nevada City (that climbed up on our deck) were very easily intimidated...I would crack open the sliding glass door and talk to them in my "Panda" voice...they would mosey off the deck right away and grumble as they headed off down the hill away from our house.

June and Ken, congratulations on forty-five years of "marital bliss." That's quite a feat in this day and age. I certainly remember 1963. About a month after your wedding, President Kennedy was assassinated. It may have been in '64, but later that winter, the Beetles arrived in America.

I, too, question the audited audit. I think Susan has been robbed of at least 1 TOPP, and I thought my count done by Suzy WAS accurate.
Am I going to be laughed at forever over pgs. 146 and 147???

Oops.... slept in LATE! I didn't wake up until 1 pm. IH is gone for the day, so it's quiet here. Just the way I like it.
I do have to go to the store and get dog food and cat food. They all like to eat.

Heidi, is sleeping in until 1pm a mono or pre-mono habit? I know you're up ver late most nights so I can't remember. Hope it's pre-mono and means you're on the mend....

I think it's the tail end of the Mono. I'm not completely over it yet, but MUCH better than I was.

Suzy... 45 years ago!!! It doesn't seem that long ago. I still have a vivid recollection of that day, though I was in second grade.

I think Vici was talking about the voice she uses when speaking to her cat "Panda".

Vivacious Vic..... The MASH Dentist's name wasn't " Suicide", it was "Painless". He got a "Dear John" letter and decided to kill himself. The Docs decided to "help" him, complete with coffin and "suicide pill". For those who haven't seen the movie, I won't give away what happened.
