His shift was 5 to 10pm tonight.
Yes very difficult after being away for 3 weeks and I finished up with Nutrimetics too.
I have rejoined Avon so was online checking it all out again.
Doubt whether I could have done Vici's trick and not told anyone I was home.

I must try at least to check out the personal pages of the ones who post in here.
I also must put some piccies up of my trip.

I took about 270 pics, hubby and son each had their own cameras and they took about that many each as well.
I am slowly getting through them so hope to post some maybe tomorrow.
Hubby bought a new camera while we were in Geelong.

When I see the word Bean I think of you immediately.
Here in Port we have a coffee shop called "Bean Here'.
In Geelong they had these drive through coffee shops.
Called 'Bean Squeeze'.

I am havinmg trouble staying connected to SA and being able to move about the pages, Not sure if it is my computer, my connection, or Sudoluland. I was not ignoring you VIV and BEAN.

Makes it a bit difficult to catch up reading the 10 pages added overnight!

i've been over on easy getting some gardening tips on growing asparagus....never tried to grow it before. I've gotta get a water tank put in for the vege garden

Thanks for the good wishes for hubby and his talk about the dome. It is a definite maybe. Hopefully will know in a few weeks.

ello Bean, MzT, eaa, Susan, Dahlia and Twin...if any of you are still around!

I've been out of touch for a couple of days because we drove 7 hours straight through to Reno (we have 'comps' at the Atlantis and called our casino host to get us a free room - although Mike always says there's nothing "free" about it!)
Because they are a large casino/resort and want everyone out gambling (which I didn't do much of), they don't have the free wifi. We relaxed and had a late check-out on Thursday and drove home. Yesterday I was pooped, but had to get out into the yard and clean up the mess the wind and a bear left!

So I did 3 large loads of laundry while I cleaned up a half acre of needles and leaves, plus 'blew' the roof off to keep the gutters open for any dreadfully needed rain we might get!
We have bear in the area, but none have ever ventured into my yard. I know this because all of my bird feeders are left unharmed and have been for the 3 years we've been here.

It is so good to have you back Vici...

When we lived on our other property about 5 miles from here...further up the mountain and in a more remote area...we had bear come through twice a year (spring and fall) - raiding my bird feeders. One climbed right up onto our deck at about 4 in the afternoon one fall day when I had already taken down the feeders. It is so amazing to see these beautiful creatures up close.
Anyway - I came home to find 4 of my feeders ripped down and the hangers (which were bolted to trees) bent. Yep - Yogi or one of his buddies!

I think I prefer the odd kangaroo and wombat Vici....

We watched an Aussie film last night: Holy Smoke, with Harvey Kitel and Kate Winslett. It was so cool seeing the Aussie outback and kangaroos! What a wild bunch you Aussies are (at least depicted in the film)

Haven't seen Holy Smoke....yes ...we can be a wild bunch hehe...

I'm back from collecting Son#2. Good to 'see' you back Vici. Only goss I have is that Suzy went shopping in a very 'interesting' shop...pretended like it was her first time.hehe

We had a wonderful time on our trip and my poor dad didn't get into too much trouble here at home after he locked himself out of the house. It's startling to see his aging. I keep thinking of him in his 60's - he's so spry and alert for 88...but I'm starting to realize he is getting older. It was so sweet of him to come up to kitty sit - Panda was a snob and practically ignored him the whole time. I think it made him feel good to help me out.

Vici it is worth reading the last few pages...just for a giggle...you started something with your 'cereal' post....

I'll be able to sit and chat from 7 pm on, my time...have a good sleep my Bean! I'll look forward to catching up.

Heidi is finally on the improve and her last epidural is still working and consequently she has been on here trying to top June in the TOPP stakes...Zusy has risen to the occasion and is giving her a run for her money....
