My sister left Australia to go on a 2 year holiday to Holland in Oct 1963, her holiday lasted 26 years. June 1989 She and her husband and 4 children migrated here to Perth.

I cannot believe how much you lot gab on! I have to catch up from page 160, only a few hours ago.
Veg garden is 5/8 completed! Need more garden mix soil but we knew that, had enough to plant everything we bought today.
Tomatoes, capsicums, chillies, button squash, lettuce (many varieties), cucumbers (two varieties), spring onions, carrots and watermelon.

Jeez, gotta google that one RolaDahlia. At least now when you visit me I'll know what to have on ice. You are coming one day aren't you? Your room (aka Son #2's room)has 2 closed doors, and believe me it's a genuine Bog Swamp. I think the floor is tiled, don't know for sure, haven't seen it for years!

Thank you for the input on Ally's accident. My instincts were to offer. The mother's reaction was 'poor Ally'. And I have confirmed the hole is actually a dent maybe 3 inches across. No easier to fix though!

June, I love your rose story! I have a Baltimore Quilt my grandmother was making me when she died. Her quilting group finished it for me. It was the first thing I picked up when we were evacuated a few years ago (bush fires).

Vici has been on a Road Trip Viv!!

We have just had a lovely Thai dinner at a local restaurant. It was BYO and we had not taken any wine. That is OK as we normally drink very little and would not finish a bottle between us.
