Fabulous fall day here today...stormy with all sorts of leaves of color falling - almost like snow, but not as cold or white.

Vici, the boys had a blast. My neighbor has one of those giant inflatable water slides. It is about 7 feet tall and about 12 feet long. The kids were having a blast. She also had a kiddie pool set up for the younger ones. Her backyard is now a muddy mess, but the kids all had fun.

I spent the morning shopping for some newer avatars and smilies...getting ready for the holidays. Smilies will probably be the most extensive shopping I do as we are not getting into spending this year...except spending time eating!

I went to the mall yesterday and was able to get rid of one name on my list. The adults on my side of the family (8 of us) draw names. We each buy one gift and get one gift. I got my sister in law and bought her gift yesterday. My hubby got my aunt. I will buy hers in a few weeks. He will not go shopping. My husbands side we buy a gift per family, and for the kids. My boys are the only kids for my side. Brother never had kids.

Broni - I'm looking at webcams on Bestbuy.com...not as pricey as I thought they'd be.

I went to check out the fence line where the neighbors cattle were getting through to my hay field. IH told me that he had bush hogged the weeds away from the fence line yesterday. Apparently, he doesn't know where the fence line is, because there's 50 feet of nearly impenetrable brush where I needed to work. There are a few trails going through it where the cattle come and go, but there is no way I can get to the property corner post. I cannot do the rest of the bush hogging myself, because as soon as IH was done with the bush hog, he took it to his cousin's property and left it there. Well, to shorten the story.... While checking everything out, I found out how the neighbors cattle got out. He has no fence on the back of his pasture. Apparently, he expects me to feed his 100+ cows in that field.

YIKES, Heidi! I think you feed enough animals without taking on the neighbors!

Our next pooter will be a Mac - but that will be a ways off as the ones we have (Gateways) are fairly new. Thanks for sharing your kitty with me. Hey Heidi - if I get a web cam, we can chat in person! (well, almost!)

...but you need to know that you'll almost always see me in my favorite clothes, my jammies!

Heidi so what can you do now since there is no fence? No wonder IH couldn't find it hehe!

He couldn't find the fence on the back of the neighbors property, which backs on to my field, But he needed to follow the fence line down the SIDE of the hay field to bush hog that to the corner. I had set up a fence along the side down to the thick brush, and had been unable to complete it due to the density of the brush. That 50 foot section was what I was going to complete today, after IH had claimed that he had cut all the brush along that line.

OK so IH is still IH even when he is not there. Don't think we get the Mac vs PC commercials here.
Vici assume Heidi's avatar with her cup was taken on her cam, as you can see it is normally only head and shoulder shots, so what does it matter if you are in your PJ's?

Good morning all!

I was here yesterday morning but after that homework (hubbies and d1s) got in my way and I didn't get back until 3 this morning. I read the 5 pages I missed, was too tired to post, came back after everyone left this morning and there was another page to read! Yay!

I think it will be a load of fun, Broni! I've bookmarked several webcams - want to get Mike's opinion when he gets home. Hopefully I can purchase it tomorrow.

Heidi, loved the purse on the stove story. Grr for the fence story. There is a good side to that story - sort of - if you can't mend the fence you might as well be here!

Yes, Broni... IH has a habit of doing something dumb, then going out of town before I discover it.

Well, I've gotta go. It gets dark an hour earlier now, so I've got to start the feeding now.

I'll have to clean up my desk before we chat face to face! Tee hee....

We haven't really used the webcam yet - other than to mess around and laugh at each other! I'll have to get on to working out how to do that.

Suzy... he didn't put the purse on the stove. He took my wallet OUT of the purse, and set the wallet on the stove so nobody would steal it out of my purse. That just makes my head hurt.
