Son #2 gets his learners licence in July. I'm thinking of trading in my car for a hot pink one just so he won't want to drive it! Son #1 said I'll look like 'a chick with b***s'. The younger boy will be a maniac on the road.

Susan, that sounds like something I would do. Instead of hot pink, why not pale pink? Hot Pink can be a cool color, even for a boy. I don't think too many boys would be thrilled with driving a pale pink car. Make sure you put fuzzy seat covers on.

I enjoyed your photo June. Very interesting angles. I never think of looking at the different angles. I always shoot straight. I am going to have to think differently.

Bummer - missed Tami, Susan and June...
Sleep well DUGs!
to Mr. Susan (a day late) sounds like you had a great time, bet he was a bit leery about being married to a witch! hehehe
Tami - enjoy your day - I'm just hanging out in my jammies with the weather all stormy. Hubby will be home in about 5 hours (boohoo) - I do love the house to myself.

Hidy ho Heidi!

Boy my house smells good. I made smothered cubed steak for dinner tonight, tried to do it fore the headache set in today, did not make it. but I did get the dinner cooked headache or not. My doctor and I are going to have a chat about finding some blood pressure meds that do not cause such severe headaches.

VICI, I finished the book, and thank you for sending it on to me, I enjoyed it. What a strange but wonderful friendship those 2 had. I am not sure I could have been that good a friend to someone who was using drugs, no matter how the drug use got started. What a sad sad ending to such a gifted life.

I thought that Anne's friend was very difficult - so needy...I'm afraid that reminded me too much of my mother. I would have not made it as that lady's friend. But it was sad - she had some major challenges!
Sent off The Book of Bright Ideas a couple of days ago. It's much lighter!

I finished reading the posts I missed... buried treasure, all right.
I'm SO SORRY that you have a headache, MizT. I hope it doesn't go the migraine route, like "edna above average" just went through. Severe headaches are NOT an acceptable side effect.

Vici!!!

HEIDI, the drug literature does say headaches and other side effects may get less with time, so I am giving it one month. Have a week and a day to go. I consider that a good trial, hope the doc does too. Maybe tomorrow I will try taking Tylenol about 30 minutes BEFORE the BP meds, preventing pain is easier than getting rid of it after the fact.

I'd better scurry into the bedroom and get dressed. I do need to go to town, then work on repairing a fence. The neighbor's cattle keep getting into my hay field.

Have you tried taking the meds with food? I have found that it counteracts a lot of side effects.

AND I can usually get rid of a migraine headache, so that might be better hehehe, I learned to "think my hands warm" many years ago, cures my migraines in about 10 minutes. It is a kind of bio feed back and it worked very well for me. Tried it with these, just in case, nope, did not get rid of it, bummer.

Heidi, you are right, they are worse if I do not eat with the meds. I am thinking of reducing the dose, a lot of my problems with meds are dosage related.

OH DEAR, hope you can get that fence done, that hay is for your cattle come winter!

speaking of hay, I always get a smile when I see the farm houses here with a round bale of hay in the front yard for halloween. Spray painted orange with eyes and teeth sprayed on with black paint, they make huge 4 or 5 foot jack-o'lanterns!

I'm now dressed! I just need to pick out a hat and I can go.

One IH bit of weirdness ..... I just found my wallet sitting on the stove, along with a note from him. He explained that he took the wallet out of my purse, and put it on the stove because he was afraid that someone would steal it from my purse.

A lot of people around here, who sell pumpkins, paint them (hay rolls) orange with jack-O' Lantern faces, too.

There's a fellow here who has stuffed a pair of jeans and put boots on the feet. He sticks this into the end of a round bale when he cuts his hay. When you drive by the first time it gives you quite a start. It looks just like someone got rolled up into the bale. It you don't have a wreck, you laugh about it.

hi everyone! cold, rainy day here. hubby came into town to help his brother out with a stalled truck. i'm feeling a little bitter that his brother would even ask him for help. there are so many other people available that don't have to drive three hours, and who wouldn't be taking precious time away from family. this is the same bil that lived with us for 4 months and who owes us thousands of dollars... oh did i mention that he is 55 and should be able to take care of himself by now??? i guess family helps family, but my husband takes it to the extreme somethimes. grrr!

i guess everyone is taking a lazy sunday nap or just not awake yet. all the declutter talk is making me itchy! i really want to throw something out! what should it be? how about all the old obsolete college books of my husbands? they are in the garage collecting dust, but he WILL NOT let me toss them. they're driving me crazy! or mybe all the fox and rabbit skins from his childhood hunting excursions. they're rotting in the garage as well. mizt and i have similar problems, we like to get rid of junk, but the hubbies seem to collect it. i too have thrown out bags of "work clothes." i'm feeling your pain mizt...even your headache.

ok, i'm being negative. time to turn that around. i deserve a big pat on the back as i have managed to limit myself to only 3 candies from the sacks of goodies laying about! i also might get to take a nap! that hasn't happened in a while. let's see what other good news do i have? i am having a good hair day today. usually the bangs don't cooperate, but i got a new hair dryer so maybe that made the difference. just keeping it light ladies, don't want to bring anybody down!

Mariana - that would peeve me too.
Heidi - good luck with the fence...and your wallet on the stove to keep it from being stollen? ...that one cracked me up.
Ruby - I have a neighbor who has a stuffed dumby on his porch year round. Even though I have seen it many times, it still gives me a start when I go to his front door!

Mariana, you are allowed all the candy you want from you kids sacks. As a mom, you need to make sure it is safe for the kiddies.
