Everyone! Just checking in to let you know I'm still alive. I'm gonna go read the posts I missed, then probably bathe a dog.

Did the reading, now to get myself soaking wet and irritated . I'd RATHER go back to sleep.

BTW.... no problems posting, MizT.

Mason has had her bath, and to my surprise, she was really good about it. I, on the other hand, am soaked to the bone. As soon as I have the energy, I'm going to change into something dry.

Stella – if you drive over 4 hours to watch a soccer game I will have to decide between giving you a mommy medal and sending over the men in the white jackets….

Susan – the road trip sounds like just the thing to cheer Tami up, or the boat so generously offered by Broni… You and a few others could probably do with some cheering too!

MizT – love your comment about hubby’s work vs play – unfortunately you have to wait until his a$$ is out of bed to find out!

Heidi – I never thought about the need to bathe 17 dogs! Collapsing in a heap just thinking about the amount of work that would be!!!

not to mention the matts the collies are probably prone to. i get so sad over one dog and his couple of tiny matts. i think 17 dogs are worse than 5 children!

i'm always on here alone. i'll just have to get back to my ffuts. check in later. oh and suzy i went to the food site you gave me. i sorta used the video and recipie as a source of inspiration. i did a brown sugar and garlic, carmalized, crusty coating on the salmon and it was fabulous!! thanks for posting that. mizt, i don't like anything i eat to be blackened...it just looks too burnt to me. you probably have more sophisticated tastes than i do though. i love captain crunch and spaghetti o's. i don't need anything too fancy.

Hi Mariana. You're not completely alone.

A lot of the collies are smooth coated. Short hair, no matts. And I RARELY bathe a dog.... only when they get really in need. They keep themselves almost as clean as a cat does.

Your dogs need to give my dogs a lesson Heidi! They smell right now... I think they've been rolling in the lawn mower poo...

Mariana, you weren't alone, I was just off involved in the morning rush! It's only half as rushed right now as one is at camp - pick her up at 2 this afternoon. I suspect I'm going to be driving Ebob to school, she is running behind schedule...

Mariana, the fish is not blackened, not coked that long, it is just the blackened fish spices give it somewhat the same flavor in a golden brown fish. I guess I was not making that clear. NO WAY I would blacken fish in the house and do not have an outside kitchen! We do not eat fancy, just a bit of meat and lots of vegetables. GAIL is the one who does fancy!

Hi HEIDI! glad your dog enjoyed the bath. you had a bit of togetherness , sharing a bath??

Mariana, looks like this time I will be alone again. Well, I can type away and then do a bit of stuff again. MUST thaw and cook something for dinner today.

Suzy, I hope Ally had a great time at camp and Ebob got to school on time. I think some breeds of dogs are just "smellier" than others. A samoyed in the family doesn't have a coat that smells, but look out for her breath! A newfoundland in the same family doesn't have smelly coat or breath, but his f*rts can make you gag. Several labs seem to have smelly coats. Maybe collies are "springtime fresh"?

I am now dry. I hoped that giving Mason a bath with medicated shampoo would stop her scratching. It hasn't. That means that she needs to go to the Vet for a steroid shot. At least she likes to go there.

Heidi, I am glad that Mason gave you a bath. I let hubby and kids bathe the dog. I stand back and watch.

Broni, we tried to wait for you yesterday, but by the time you got here, I passed out in bed. Made it from computer to bed easily. My pooter is next to the bed.

Susan, I would love to go for a ride in the pink Ferrari. The Jeep looks like fun, too.
