I think the one we saw was an LG and was less than $300. The sales assistant said there would be no problem copying our Disney tapes (etc) onto DVD - even with the copy protection. That does not sound right!

Any pen that I have that works disappears and ends up in one of the kids' rooms!

Hey Zusy, all safe and sound here, from what I can gather the storm hit the north west of Brissy. I am south east of Brisbane so figure Cyn is OK too. Not sure about anyone else though.

The news says "The storms hit the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Logan, and the Sunshine Coast on Sunday afternoon, bringing very heavy rain, damaging winds, large hailstones and flash flooding." but I think the the area you mention was the one that looked like a 'war zone'...

I went today to look at cattle and talk to certain Red Angus breeders I know. Tomorrow they will be too busy actually showing to sit down and talk for an hour or two. I also looked at some of the booths, but not many. Tomorrow I plan on looking at more, and watching the judging. I may look at the sheep, too.

NOW to go out and take care of critters.

MIL has moved. YEAH!!! The move went well.
Grr to that Telephone Co that runs the nation.
MIL still hasnt got telephone connected at her new abode.
She let them know in plenty of time, some weeks ago!!
She will be on the HOTLINE this afternoon AGAIN to them!!
I think she will be a tad angrier than she was last Friday, especially when told, technician will ring her by 4.00pm!!
He did not Ring!!!!

June, congrats on another TOPP! Continued good luck with all of the taking out and putting in with your new cupboards. I'm sure it will be great when it's all finished! I'm thinking of you and hoping for a good day for everyone in your family!
Suzy, though the baseball team lost, it's good to know that they keep learning new skills. One of these days, those skills will bring them a win!

Heidi, was the show not as good as you expected today, or just didn't have what you wanted to see? Just wondering if it is a "competitive" show or selling or informational or ???

Hi, Rolanda! It's good to hear that MIL has accomplished her move (with your help)! I hope she adjusts well and finds everything to her satisfaction. Hopefully she will have a telephone within the next 24 hours. A phone is really a life-line for our older relatives!

Who is most excited about Rena's trip, do you think? I'm sure Rena and Amber are floating, but I think all of us are nearly as excited. It gives us hope that one day we might all get together somewhere.

Yes we are on Daylight Savings here in Western Australia.
This is the final year on the 3 year trial for the Daylight Savings.
We get to vote sometime next year as to whether we keep it or not!!

yes Julie, Rena arrives here in Perth 5.40pm, which will be 7.40pm Sudoku Time tomorrow (Tuesday 18th)
and I shall be at the Airport, waiting behind the rails, for them to walk thru the door !!

There's no voting on Daylight Savings here. We get what is legislate - including an extra week at the beginning and at the end. Luckily, we don't mind it, and no longer have little ones who need to make the adjustment.
