Yeah, I.m OK just busy , having bathroom Renos which turned quite nasty, not wetsealed originally, so a lot of woodwork had to be replaced, then whilst waiting for wetseal to dry, toilets played up, showers backed up & bathroom had to be wetsealed again, its almost finished now, they started tiling today - so here's hoping. How are you now, still very sore I take it

Maen Sudoluland. I am here for one post, then must get organized to leave for test and shopping. I have not read, and boy, there are lots of posts. Reminds me of " last to post" competition!

Coffee is on, and hope you all will take a bread today and sit a spell with a nice cuppa.

Cooler today and tomorrow, highs of 86 (30C) forecast, unheard of in July, August in recent years, I am thankful today for cooler weather!
away to the shower to bet clean and neat, about the best I can hope for now, and will see you all late afternoon. A good sleep for all the DUGs

Good to see you Lee and hope the renovations are soon finished. Would the old bathroom be about the 70's as the waterproofing they used then was not very efficient.

June - the chaise lounge is fabulous!
Are these all MzT's efforts or are you all this clever with your pooter skills?

Suzy - my heart just broke when I read about Ally's day...so glad there was some laughter in the house (can't not laugh with Uno)
I was harrassed horribly in high school. A group of toughies would see me coming down the hallway and shout "there's that b___ Vici Jessup!" - oh I was horrified...and my emotions were worn on my sleeve...still are, usually...wouldn't be good at poker.
Anyway - I had nightmares about those girls for years afterwards. I never told anyone (my family) about it and am so glad Ally confided in you.

Gail - I can't get the picture out of my head of you storming into the school hallways in your work clothes with steam pouring out of your ears...LOVE it!

I cannot believe we are still on the same page as when I went to bed last night. We must have run out of chatter after the hectic day yesterday.
Vici, the chaise is a part of my set and is over 100 years old and passed down from my great grandparents.

And now an Aussie good morning to you all.

Morning all!

So many stories of bullying and harrassment! What is wrong with our school system seems to have always been wrong with it. Ally and I will be talking today and there are 2 big things that I will be talking to her about. One is the stories you have told me and a reminder not to take it personally, which will make it hurt less. The other is to remember how it feels and to never ever do the same thing to other people, realising that sometimes we say thoughtless things because we didn't think first.

What a wonderful group you are to share your stories with me. I feel honoured and touched..

Hi Gals! Just checking in...haven't even done the puzzles yet as I have been busy away from the house all day. We're going out to dinner tonight, so I'll have to get myself cleaned up here soon.

Suzy - the substance of the talk you are going to have with Ally is lovely. Wish I had had a mom like you!
BTW - I wished Shosho a happy b'day the other day because I saw it up on the birthday board (before we had our friends thing)...right after I sent her the message, it was gone.
Had to try and explain myself, but it sounded pretty much like I'm nuts!

Maybe I should wake up before I start posting.
Anyway Suzy hope you have a nice day.

I am making the pasta salad for the bowls today. We have about 90 people coming. We are a small club and do not have catering unless we do it ourselves.
Made the rice salad yesterday (60 people). Will be rice again Sunday (110) and pasta Monday (80)
Back has been playing up a bit so not sure how I will go bowling today.

June take it easy at bowling, just enjoy yourself but try to preserve your back.
I can't imagine making a rice or pasta salad for that many people. I hope it isn't all left to you to provide.

Vici I hope you have a lovely time while you are out for a meal tonight.
It's our 9th wedding anniversary on the 2nd, so I'm hoping Richard will think to book somewhere for a meal, but if he doesn't I'm sure we will make up for it by eating out a lot while on holiday.

HI Brenda and June and Vici and Suzy and anyone else who comes along.

I am back from reprovisioning, and oh my what a chore! I did this, , and this and this and more of this! . My card is suffering from swipeout!

It was soo funny, we stopped for lunch, and as I was getting out of the car, hubby handed me mypurse. I thought HOW NICE of him to nitice I did not have my purse, untill he told me I would have to pay! Seems he used all his cash on hand when we stopped in at the guitar shop! Guitars have more needed accessories than a barbie doll!

we found some drawer unnits and some cubby units for my closet, but they were out of the shelf units. I think I know someone who can add some shelving between those units

Brenda, don't wait for Richard to book! Hubby and I always decide together where we want to eat on our anniversary - we eat out so rarely these days - it adds something to the plans. Though one year he refused to discuss it and I was surprised with dinner, a show (stomp) and a limosine ride! I would never have been that extravagant...
