An Aussie morning to you all. Last minute bits and pieces to do today.Just found out my son has to go to Malaysia on business while we are there. We both fly out the same night but to different destinations (Sydney and Melbourne) so hopefully we will be able to see him.

Hi everybody....well spotted Vici.
Gail isn't the only one having withdrawals ...haven't been here for nearly 48hrs...gasp
We saw 'The Painted Veil'....typical Somerset-Maugham.... not a happy ending but an enriching tale with the most beautiful Chinese scenery - down south - Guilan way.
While we were brunching [hadn't had time for breakie] hubby rang .... MIL was ready for discharge. I had planned going home via the hospital so it didn't make a lot of difference... just tacked MIL's place onto the round journey. Luckily I had already popped a meal in her freezer for when she went home and was able to just 'whip it out'....impressed the other DIL who had arrived by this stage!! It was good that they arrived ...meant hubby could get back to work and I could get home before being caught up in the peak hour traffic.
Too exhausted by the time I had got home and done the shopping to do any puzzles....good thing is I now have 2 days of puzzles Bad news is I am now off to my MIL's and I don't know when I will have time to do them

Afternoon all! All clear from the doc - all BCC gone! Yay!! And to top it off he accepted Medicare only payment. Good news all round.

Bean, good news that your MIL is well enough to come home, and good news that hubby waited until afer The Painted Veil was finished to call. Hopefully other DIL will be motivated enough by your supreme levels of organisation to help out. Thoughts and wishes for MIL to remain as healthy as can be for as long as possible.

Vici, hope the rest helped your back. A sore back has to be near the top of my list of 'worse things to have aching'....
