Nice sunny day here, but cold at night.

Viv, it took ages for the Paypal system to go through our banking system. Until those first couple of minimal transactions show up, the real transaction cannot go ahead. I think it took a good week or so when I did it, now it is automatic.

I used my credit card and it worked immediately

I send Gath a cheque.

Still busy 'packing' although I have not put anything in the case yet. Still adding to the pile on the bed. Although Hubby has spread all his stuff everywhere so makes it hard to sort mine. Making lists for all we have to do tomorrow. We do not leave here till about 4pm.
Thanks to those who have sent messages for our trip. We might take the lap top so might get a couple of messages through.

I just love waking up in the (my) morning and reading the chat on SA5. I can't tell you all how much I enjoy being welcomed so warmly here.
I had not been feeling very comfortable with some of the posters on the puzzle pages and not nearly as included as I feel here. Thank you all for that!

Suzy - so happy Ally's day was relatively uneventful...always helps when the bullies turn their attention somewhere else.
Bean - what a lovely DIL you are and glad MIL was up to getting home...that always perks us up to be in our own home.

Viv - glad your keyboard problems are fixed...my desktop is much more user-friendly for me than my laptop...but I spend most of my time here with my laptop. Re: Paypal - mine went through right quickly, but I have used paypal before and use the credit card option...that probably helps.

June & Brenda...see you gals in the box - are you night owls or is your pooter just on? June - I figure you are still packing - YIKES - bet you'll sleep on your flight!

Suzy glad to hear that your tests have come back clear. Pleased too that Ally had a not too bad a day at school. Hopefully now she can start to enjoy it again.

Vici, that photo was taken last year at Moraine Lake. We had a family holiday (Husband three kids and me) for three weeks in Canada last June/July. I had been there a couple of times before but that was my husbands first trip and that is one of his favourite places out all the fabulous places we saw.My oldest daughter took the photograph.

Hi Everybody... Why hadn't I heard about SA5 earlier? I was told that this was where all the good people are.
I decided to go to the Urgent Care Facility this morning... half the travel time than to the Hospital.... only to find it closed. So I will attempt to make it to the Hospital this evening, after the Vet visit.

Bean I was pleased to read that you MIL has been released from hospital. I also hope that your SIL will take on some of the responsibility of taking care of her.

I hope the problem taking you the Urgent care facility wasn't too serious, though it wasn't good that the facility was closed. You do sound to be having a busy day what with hospitals and vets.

Heidi, welcome to SA5!! I was not at all surprised by your decision to go to the hospital AFTER looking after the animals. I will be thinking of you, cursing your husband for scaring you, and crossing everything that the news is good.

Morning Vici! I am hoping for a day at home catching up on stuff. Ally looked much more positive last night. Not the hunched timid creature who left for school yesterday morning. Yay! We had 'the' talk (again) about what bullying might look like and what is just bad manners, and what to do if she wasn't sure. She assures me she won't report 'every little thing', but will report the important stuff. At the very least she is feeling more confident and less fearful.

The wonderful thoughts and wishes from here have helped me to keep more positive too!

Whoops, gotta go for now....

Suzy - good news re: Ally's disposition...hope your day at home is productive. Mike has gone down the mountain to see a specialist about his hand. It is all frozen up like a claw hand and he's going to need surgery to release it. It's his right hand and it has really started to get in the way with the work on the addition. He wants to put it off, but is becoming so limited that he has to have it taken care of.
We are looking to go on a driving trip up into the northeastern Oregon mountain area in October. He's hoping to have the surgery done before that.

Hello Ladies.....Welcome to Sa5 Heidi.....be sure you find you way back to the hospital...you have been suffering too long. When somethings wrong or doesn't respond to th first treatment, its scary, but don't give up until you are feeling good again.Thoughts and prayers are being sent up continually.
