I'm back for another 5 minutes, then another quick errand.
I consider the fish judge to have been a poor judge. It wasn't just the Bettas. I looked at other placings of his, in other species, and I think he did a bad job. Next year there will be a different judge. And I got to experience showing fish for the first time, so I know what it entails. It wasn't a complete loss. And the general public looking at the fish know which they like. When I went to see how mine did, there were a bunch of people gathered around my 2 Bettas, ooh=ing and aah-ing. I overheard them saying that mine were the most beautiful Bettas they'd ever seen. I'm not going to let the opinion of one questionable judge ruin my experience.
