A big SA5 Happy Birthday to Robert. Hope you have a wonderful day today. Glad the big party went well yesterday.

What's all this I hear about people being boring? Is it us here on SA? If so, I like our kind of boring. I don't particularly come here to entertain the rest of the world. If it is so boring, why are they here reading in the first place?
Okay, I'm done with the soap box. Who's next?

Mariana... one of the most comforting thing about this little space in sudokuland is that it is OUR space to vent...it is the place and we have all been comforted in the past by the support of other SA5'ers. Do not underestimate the value of the cyberhug. Can you feel the one that just hit you?
MizT...ever practical....that crossed my mind too... better to have never happened but it has - so best now while she is young and has a wonderful family to support and love her and the kids. She will learn to trust again... won't be easy but she will live and love again

Rola - I'm so happy you are stopping in California on your world tour.
I, too, picked Lima, Peru...that's my first stop after driving cross country (visiting all sudokupals along the way) to NYC.

you all are so awesome. i knew i could count on SA5 to help put this into perspective and offer such words of wisdom to pass on to my sis. talked to her today and she is the most resilient person i know. she is acting rationally and thinking first of the boys. i am so proud of her. she is heartbroken of course but, like mizt said, only time can heal that. thank you, ladies!!!

Having children is an amazing thing Mariana. The strength they give us can pull us through anything!!! Your sis has tough times ahead, but it sounds like, with support, she will make it!

I decided to add some flowers to the site - they are so cheery.

I can't remember who said they were going to take a train all the way around Australia... at first I thought it was funny 'cause you just can't do that, but then remembered it was a CYBER trip and so anything is possible.

I didn't get half of the things I was going to do done today, and I don't care!!! I will have to do a quick zip around the bathroom as I have a student with OCD coming at 4:30 - the rest can wait until tomorrow.... (feel like saying 'so there')

I was in chat with Vici and Viv this morning.. Ihave been informed that they are SIAMESE TWINS.. after I spelt Viv's name with an i on the the end ie..Vivi..

Gail and I are almost TWIN BRIDES, she and her hubby were married a week before Hubby and I were. back in January 1983.

I'm back from the Fair and concert, the rooster (now named Chico) and Eric the rabbit are settled in for the night, and the dogs have been fed. It's after 1 am, and I'm tuckered, but I had a blast. The animals had to leave the building at 5 pm, and the concert didn't start until 8 pm. Not wanting to leave the critters in an enclosed vehicle during daylight hours, I carted the 2 of them around with me for those 3 hours, while looking at exhibits in the air conditioned building. Chico LOVED it! He had a great time looking around at all the sights, tilting his head from one side to the other to get the best view. And we saw so many people doing double takes, whispering to each other"Is that a chicken?" A few approached me and asked if he was a chicken. Eric was pouting in a more enclosed crate so most people didn't notice him. For the few kids who spotted him, I'd take him out so they could pet him.

Now I'm going to read all the posts I missed, then go to bed. All!
