Looks like you are going to be the SA5 TOPP champion MizT.
I am looking forward to a quieter day. We went to D1 yesterday and finished the dresses. Still have to make the underskirts, when she has time to buy the material!!

Mary, that depends on who you ask. My dad hated to see me up reading all night, which I did more than once while growing up. If he found me still reading when he got up before 5 am, he left a long list of chores for me, " no lallygagging around in bed today, wasting daylight" he wold say.

Oh MizT, what a wonderful day! Unfortunately a tornado seems to have gone through my house this weekend and I have to work to repair the damage.(it's a regular tornado this one, I've even named it - dad - the initials of the three culprits, though it implies one of them is worse than the others!)

Mary, You mean that know-it-all who sneaks out occasionaly, always with an opinion on every subject?
I have loved to read ever since I learned how and read widely. One reason I love the internet, lots of stuff to read, and always something new to learn.

It's all about balance I think - my kids believe they can't read during the day, only at night... d1 reads most books in a night or two. She informed me on Friday that her English class has a reading period every week. She is reading 2 books for everyone one that is assigned. Her teacher pulls out extra ones just for her. Thus proving that her theory about only being able to read at night totally wrong!!!

HI JUNE, good to see you too. You people iron a lot, I must live a very wrinkled existance hehe. I remember when every stitch of clothing we wore had to be ironed, and in summer in the south, with 6 of us at home and two outfits a day, sometimes three if we teens went out at night, I got my fill of ironing at a very young age.

Suzy, I read day and night, when I got a very good book. The particular day I am thinkin =g of, we had gone to the library when Dad came home from work, before supper. so I read while I was cooking dinner, I read on the front orch after eating, and when Dad sent me to bed, I read all night. when he came in at 4:30 am, I had only one page to finish, and pleaded he let me finish that before the mandatory lights out!

MizT, d1 was a late reader. At the end of first grade she was in the 'slow' reading group. Some kids were reading better in kindergarten. Then we moved to Oz. Due to different school years (Jan to Dec) here, she spent another 2.5 months in Year 1. For some reason her reading skills exploded and there's been no holding her back since.

MARY, is iorning a foriegn concept to you also?
I wear knits, if I hang then carefully they do not need iorned. the few that are wrinkled, a brief tumble in the dryer, wrinkle free. Same for hubby's shirts and jeans.

Just saw an interesting tag to an quiz:
See how much you suck.
It was followed by:
Be confronted with shopping and lifestyle dilemmas and find out what kind of a drain you are on the planet.
which makes it all make sense

oh yes, I love to get lost in a book. I love when it is a novel so well written, I feel like I am there.
It is almost a shock to put this book down and realize I am not in the hot desert of the Texas-Mexican border town , within sight of the Rio Grande, at a point where it is not so grand, and looking at tumble weed and dust and a white hot sky from the only shade in the whole place, the front orch of the adobe brick ranch house.
i LOVE TO GET LOST IN A BOOK. lOVE WHEN THEY ARE WELL WRITTEN FICTION AND YOU FEEL YOU ARE there, AND IT IS ALMOST A SHOCK TO PUT DOWN THE BOOK RELUCTANTLY AN

Suzy, I find if I will tumble dry knits for only 5 minutes, then hang them on a clothes hanger, and hang outside to finish drying, they are wrinkle free. do this for my nice clothes. Everyday stuff, well the wrinkles get smothed out when they stretch across my girth
my 5 minutes a load of clothes in the dryer probably uses less electricity than your iorning does.
