It got very windy this afternoon but not too bad now. I was out most of the day and it would have been a good washing day (although I did not have much to do). Are you near the water?

Yes the ocean is across town from me, not far.
Yes would have been a great day for drying washing here too but I did not do any.
That has reminded me I must put a load thru shortly.
Dentist visit in the morning, yuk.

My son is nearly 15 and has a part time job at a fish and chip shop in town here.
He will get home about 9.30 tonight so will put his clothes into the wash too.
You can smell the fish and chips on him as soon as he comes in the door. He eheheh lol

I think I would want to wash his clothes as soon as he got home too.
Nothing worse than having that smell when you get up in the morning.

Yes it is a very distinctive smell.
He wears black jeans, and a black t-shirt.
But he has now finished his trial and I think he
has to wear a black shirt now.
I have two pair of jeans and two t-shirts for him so we alternate those.
He works 3 shifts a week.
Hubby is a motor mechanic so the washing is really marvellous !!! here. lol

Elise, my Dad was an auto mechanic. I remember the smell of his dirty clothes. He brought home his wash on Friday, as they showered and changed at work. Mom made them stay in his work auto till Monday Morning, wash day! After pillowcases at age 6, Dad's work shirts were the first thing I iorned! Even after washing, they still had a distinctive smell of motor oil and axel grease when the hot iorn hit them!

GOOD MORNING SUDOKULAND!
I am up after a good night's sleep and feeling much better today! The no-longer-spots only have a tiny sting at the moment and that is ignorable. Live goes on, and STUFF to do left over from being gone for 2 days. HOW does one's home become a disster zone when NOONE IS HOME most of 2 days?

Very slow site today...Guess I'll wonder over to flip words since I've done all of the puzzles and jigsaws here...Anything to avoid the basket of ironing staring me in the face...I'm hoping it can get done by wishful thinking ..I'll get to it sooner or later....but not now...Have a great day all.

everyone. Went to see Amber yesterday. She wanted to come home with me but we talked her out of it. She was being a very big, brave girl when I left. I am so proud of her. Tomorrow I go get her to come home. She will be so happy. So will her dog, Max. He keeps looking for her and can't find her.

I am glad my hubby is not a mechanic. Mine always smells like trees when he gets home. Beats grease any day of the week.

Travel update: No, I haven't got tickets yet. I didn't get to the travel agent last week. I will go see if I can talk to her today. I need to wait until hubby gets home to buy, I might leave from Spokane instead of Vancouver.

I had a dream about my trip the other night. I got to Auckland and realized I forgot half the stuff I needed. I don't think I'm ready to go yet.

Morning Suzy, missed you by just a few minutes here.
Hi to Mama and Rena who dropped in today. Rena, I am sure by November, you will have everything ready to go for your trip! Good for Amber to stay the week without Mom. I am sure she and her friend have had a great time and something to do, with the Bible School. I remember teaching the younger classes, ages 4 - 6 back a hundred years ago, they loved the marching in every morning the best, that and snack time.

Favourite headline for today:
Charlie Sheen turned into a fairy.
Turns out to be quite innocent, but why ruin a good headline by giving the details.

Today I have to push that sucky thing around the house, watch a school assembly with a band piece (that should be a scream, they've only had a half a dozen lessons!), pick up a prescription, pick up d2s birthday present which is on layby (an excellent way to hide gifts!), take the kids to bowling, and I have to start making the mocks for the birthday bags...

I've just posted on science snippets for the first time in ages! Scientists say they are flabbergasted cause it looks like it would be possible to grow asparagus on Mars! Doesn't say how you'd water it though.

I should be pushing that sucky thing around, but I can't leave!!! The numbers at the top of the page... they are compelling me to stay.... time for someone to jump in and pip me at the post (is that how the expression goes?)
