You made me go look. Here's what's on tap at the mo.
Dalmore, Oban, Aberlour, Glenlivet, Dalwhinnie, Knockando and Cardhu.
There's not much left in any of them and they don't get visited very often. They're considered 'sippin' whisky. For drinking, a good blend is always on hand. Guess there's just enough Scots in me to not go wild with the singles as they are pretty high priced in these parts. I have had a bottle of Balvenie. I've a Scots acquaintance, a grade 1 highland drummer, who hosts a periodic scotch party in his home. Absolutely 'done right' lamb stew and soda bread followed by a tour of the Auld Sod thru five bottles of rare singles in proper stemware and a splash of correct water for comparison. I never swirl the scotch in the glass without thinking of ZZ Top's 'She's Got Legs'. Full kit is worn if you've got it and a pipe tune or two starts everything off. An event to be anticipated.

I've run across a few I just don't care for, a few that are questionable and quite a few that have enough character to evoke a return visit.

I've been diverted from the whisky glass for a few years now by the sheer number of craft breweries popping up all over the country. To date there are over 2700. We've got 7 within driving distance that are putting out some remarkable brews. Just last week I brought home an imperial stout, 10.5 ABV, absolutely incredible.
