Hi Jamie. Stopping in to wish you and your ape a wonderful new year. By the way, does that guy shovel snow? If so, send him up to Ottawa please. 2007 is around the corner. A whole new year coming up, and so much will happen during this coming year. I do hope that you and yours enjoy peace, happiness, good times, (chocolate for those of you who indulge), and should there be some sorrow that befalls you, I do hope you weather it well and stay strong and positive. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

hello Jamie - this is the first time I've been to yours I think - the idea of you being a math teacher sort of put me off a bit - not my favourite subject at school, but then maybe English wasn't your's - yes, I'm an English teacher! Anyway, all the very best for 2007, perhaps we'll get better acquainted in 2007!!

Jamie - I feel bad that I missed your birthday! Sorry. If anybody needs more wishes for happiness, it's you. I know 2006 has been a difficult year for you. Hopefully, 2007 will be a better one. Even though I'm late for your birthday (by the way is Dec. 19 the right date?), I'm still in time for

Hello Jamie. Happy New Year to you! For months, I have followed your posts about your students, the church drama, the recent health challenges with your mother-in-law, and I wish you all the best for the new year. I hope your get the fellowship in Washington. The District of Columbia is an exciting area. Please know that I lift you up in thought and prayer.

Good luck in obtaining your fellowship...Such an accomplishment. You vying for a fellowship and all I do is try not to be eaten by a gator! Drat and double drat - At least I have a very smart professor-e-friend in (almost) Washington, a daughter with a PhD, a judge for a brother and skin too tough for gators....I am doing OK for myself.

Best wishes my friend.

Jamie, Thinking about you and miss your comments. When you have a chance to pop in its usually too late for me, so I thought I'd drop by and give you a shout out, because I can. Hope school is going well and your MIL is hanging in without too many more problems. She is one lucky lady to have good family support. Also looking forward to hearing how your application process is going. If you do get to D.C., I'd have more of a chance to meet you, which would be very nice. That's all for now. Take care.

Jamie, you and Jeannie certainly have my prayers. I wish there was more I could do, but that isn't in the cards. Please let Jeannie know that we all care and understand how difficult things are, and we will all keep you and your extended family in our thoughts and prayers.
LD  From WA,USA
Jamie, I figured I am on sudoku too late for you. I am sorry about the latest news about your MIL. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and her. I had to wear one for a year after being assaulted before I had surgery and then for another 3-1/2 months afterwards. at least it is winter and not in the heat of summer there. I have since healed well and have no pain anymore. That was in 1995. By waiting, hopefully she will have much better healing. Please tell her that patience is the path to better healing.
LD  From WA,USA
Oh, I almost forgot....Nice Gorilla! We have a ceder 'Big Foot' about the same heighth in our yard. I love it!
LD  From WA,USA
I hope it's not too stressful for both you and Jeannie. I hope you and Jeanie have someone who can give you a little break every once in a while so you can go out to eat or take in a movie. I agree with Mamacita 2 that your MIL is very lucky to have you as family. Again, My prayers are with you and your whole family.
LD  From WA,USA
No, Jamie, I didn't know she has Alsheimers, but I was beginning to suspect something like that. How sad that sometimes our bodies out last other important organs (includes the brain). Even more now, I hope you and Jeannie make time to get away. Again, my prayers are with you and your fmily and God bless Jeannie and all she and all of you give in to your MIL.

Also, nice pic of Granny and Mocha. I love the blouse on Granny, so colorful! Would you please tell her that LynnDee says It They are good colors on her, it brings out the color in her face. Thanks

Hmmm. Read comments about a gorilla and all I could see was a very handsome lady. I hope things pick up for you Jamie and that you and Jeannie are given the strength you need to cope with the challenges of your life. Alzheimers is a cow, isn't it?

CP and JUDY - if you go to my flickr pictures, there are several of the gorilla!! Yep, JUDY, Alzheimer's is not a whole lot of fun.
LD - I will certainly pass on the word to Evlyn - she has always been a lovely lady, and the personality still shines through from time to time. And we do have some ladies that come in to help out and give us some time for ourselves.

Hi jamie!
Thanks for stopping by!
Let me know if printing out the blog pages works well or poorly. If it does not, maybe I can create a printer friendly link somehow - although I have not a clue how to do that...

jamie, they are starting to mention that 4 letter word(snow) for this Saturday, in conjuntion with the ''f'' word(flurries). The grader came down our street this AM. I can't tell if they got all the way to the street this time! I have been using my 4 wheel drive on my street since before Christmas.

Hi Jamie! great photos on your Flickr site from the Colorado trip, but where's all the tons of snow that Sarah Beth mentioned? As to the 'who is this person' picture, might that be you? Eyes look similar but beard has less grey!

Hello Jamie - thanks for the visit and joining me for morning smoko. The word 'smoko' is an Aussie slang word for morning or afternoon tea. I'm not sure where it originated but I believe that it could be from the stockmen from years ago when they had to boil a billy of water on the camp fire for their cup of tea in the mornings, etc.
Stephanie  From Aggieland, TX
Howdy! Now I understand how everyone already knew where I was from...didn't know you'd already introduced them to the Aggie lingo!
I love the gorilla! Is it in your yard? I suddenly feel the urge to start driving around looking for it! (I promise I won't.)
Instead, I'll stay and have some Dr. Pepper. (I think I'm addicted to the regular stuff!) But I do agree that Dublin DP is awesome, too. I tend to savor it b/c it's such a special treat for me.
:)
