Welcome friends!

                          Make yourself at home.

Taken on Memorial Day 2010. I've often admired this flag as she waves on State Route 67. Thank you to the property owner for sharing her with us for all these years.

Hi Shelley, thanks for visiting my page. I was wondering how many people would work out who I am. It's here again/still.

Shelley, just dropping in to make sure you're keeping warm! I hope your beloved pooch recuperates quickly and is keeping comfortable in the meantime. What a gorgeous dog! I'm dropping off some liqueur-laced hot chocolate for you to enjoy. Cheers!

Whew, Shelley! I just got in from shovelling the snow and it's still coming down. Thought I better make some headway with it before it gets too heavy. Take care of yourself today, and may all those close to you be safe.
Arthur, and his two compadres, continue to amuse us; thankfully, no health problems for any of them recently, though we continue to be vigilant because Arthur's had such troubles with getting blocked. Today's a great day to curl up with our pets and settle in with a book.

Shelley,
Thank you so much for taking the time to recommend an Alaska cruise. My husband is not too keen on it so I need to work on him. I have heard the same comments as yours from other people who have taken this cruise. Did you also see the Northern Lights? That's my second reason for wanting to go. Thanks again for taking the time to send me your comments. They were very much appreciated.

Take care,
Aimee :-)

I have been responding directly on my page. Hope you don't think I was ungreatful. Thank you for the warm welcome and the oatmeal cookies - they are me favorite cookie.
Shelley, I hope you don't mind, but Susie and Sassy loved your warm oatmeal cookies as much I did. They had to share only one though, because cookies are not a natural food source for them.

Jack has always been a friendly dog, he chose to share with TR. Now that they are stuffed, maybe they will let me solve puzzles!

Hi Shelley, popped in to inquire about Kala and discover you've recently had a birthday so...
BELATED GREETINGS
How old was Kala ...it is so hard to lose such a dear friend and German Shepherds make the best and most loyal of friends. Our first dog was a shepherd and I hope one day I will find myself in the position where I will have the time to spend on their training etc that they deserve. Then I will be able to have another.

Hey Shelley, see you have lost one of your four legged friends too, hope all the memories are happy ones. Remember that saying about growing old
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely in an
attractive and well preserved body. But
rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one
hand, glass of wine in the other, body
thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Hi Shelley - thanks for viewing the video. I guess it has made its rounds via e-mail...but I saw it for the first time yesterday. I totally cried ...of course, the dramatic music adds to that. I LOVE your pup pictures. I have a cat or rather, she has me
Here's a pic of my best friend's (who lives in Fort Collins, CO now) recued pups ...I'm their aunt!

Silly me, you'd think I'd know the difference between an Aussie emu and an African ostrich! Of course it's an Aussie, I can see the Vegemite on the corners of it's beak!!!

Thank you for the Birthday Greeting. Love your Ostrich pic. Were his/her legs blue or pink?

Had a wonderful Birthday only problem was the temp yesterday and today was a record tying/setting high of 108°. At least it was only in the 90's while I was working Pop Corn at the Concert tonight. It will be another hot one tomorrow night and I'll be on the Pop Corn machine again (my Title is Pop Corn Queen) at Britt. For the Sunday night concert, I'm working Gift Booth - that will be the grand finale of the Classical Season "Star Spangled Concert. So I'm celebrating all weekend. By Tuesday, it is suppose to get down to the low 80's. Overall the summer has been relatively cool. Thanks again for the Birthday wishes.

Shelley, best wishes for your promotional exam! I'd say 'good luck' but I know luck has nothing to do with it. I'll leave you in peace to study, but let me know how you get on when you can. Here's some to keep you alert during your long study sessions!

Hi Shelley! I stopped by to see your newest photos & then stayed awhile to look at ALL of them, even the ones I'd seen before! You are a great photographer! It looks like the Balloon Festival was a month earlier this year than last year? Bet the fall colors will be appearing up there soon. I do miss the change of seasons. Please let me know if you post any fall pictures - thanks!

Shelley - Fabulous pictures of the balloons! I loved them all lit up. I also perused some of your other pictures...that is a great on of the emu peeking in your window - also liked the close up of the Mimosa tree. We have those out here, too and I'd like to plant one in my yard.
I would have left comments on your pictures, but I'm not a member of flickr. Thanks for clueing us all in so we could go visit that wonderful festival.
BTW - colors starting to change here too! My FAVORITE time of year.
