Hi Peg, Stopped by to take a look at your photos of France. I see you made it to Normandy and Le Mont Saint Michel. How did you like it there?? Did you stay in Le Mont Saint Michel? I see they have not moved Saint Michel out of the Abby yet. I do hope you had a great trip.

Peg - just looked at your pictures from Normandy - I must show them to my husband...that is one place he REALLY wants to visit.
I hope you've submitted some of those pictures for the puzzles - they are just lovely!
BTW - the cat in swim goggles came to me through an e-mail...it looks pretty friendly considering everything. My cat would throw a fit!

Hi Peg, We have scrapped all plans for this year. I am afraid it will be getting too cold any place I would want to go. I am getting tired of going to Europe in the late fall or winter. Any where it would be warmer I wold need to make reservations for now. Harry's toe is doing well but not healed yet, will be 3 or 4 more weeks, the doctor thinks. If we could go around the first of September might try Spain again, it's been a long time since we were there.
Too bad you didn't get stay in Mont Saint Michel. We all loved it, do you remember Le Mere Poulard? It was not too far up the hill where you would have came in. That is where we stayed & ate there also.
Isn't the cemetary at Normandy awesome. Hard to believe how many are burried there. An experience I don't think I will ever forget.

Absolutely loved my time Italy. Really liked the Lakes Como & Maggoire and Verona best. Milan & Venice were very nice, but Verona was my favorite ...full of Roman historical sites, easy to get around in & nicely situated near the hills. Bergamo was another favorite. Can't wait to go again sometime. Maybe I'll take my husband this time!
Food worked out fine by having my food allergies/intolerancies (..is that a word?) listed on a "cheat sheet" and being careful. Waiters (after rolling their eyes) would let me know what I could have on the menu. Luckily Northern Italy does not depend on garlic as the main flavoring. Had some WONDERFUL grilled lemon chicken cutlets & grilled veggies... eggplant, zucchini & bell peppers in olive oil.

Peg, I just completed the May photo of the cathedrale through the window and wanted to see your gallery - what a treat! Very beautiful photos - and lucky for me, all but four came in! Usually I get only about half of someone's gallery plus a lot of little question marks, so annoying. I'm working back from when I went away in May for two months (Italy, where I taught two courses in the south, in Puglia), then my computer suffered a severe nervous breakdown for a month upon my return (I think it really doesn't like me very much - I'm NOT paranoid, I know this to be true!), so I'm catching up still. But, as we all agree, your photos are really wonderful - thank you for sharing!

Hi Peg, just dropping to wish you all the best for Christmas and I hope you have a wonderful time on both occasions without having to spend too much time in the kitchen!!
We're going Up-the-River for the weekend, then back here Sunday or Monday; off to Wagga Wagga on Tuesday for Christmas with P's family. Back here Boxing Day, then Up-the-River again till after New Year! So I'll catch up with you next year!
