Well, this year's Blizzard of the Century missed us. Other than a light dusting, not even ice on the trees (which is okay by locals). The Blizzard of the Century from 2014 and 2011 was worse for our area. Obviously some areas were hit hard, but really, the Weather Channel Blabbers and Blabettes really act like they've never seen snow before. So, with that, stay tuned for the Blizzard of the Century next year; it'll happen somewhere.

Make that 'Blizzards' of the Century in two separate years, 2014 and 2011. The way I wrote it made it sound as if we had a blizzard for 3 years without summer...

And I do hope Kathy, Sarah and others at ground zero of this storm are safe, staying warm, and have enough supplies until the thaw.

I hope the topsiders in the path of the blizzard are doing ok.

The smoke covering Tassie is set to continue for several more weeks as there is no rain in sight in the foreseeable future. Our friends in the fire path got through relatively unharmed, although their neighbour lost a new shed and new tractor. The fire is moving towards Mt Barrow and other homes.

I use my birthday as an excuse to gather my family for a celebration! They get a time to get together and a free dinner!
