Thanks, Sarah Beth. We have been digging out for 2 days now. Most of the front is done, driveway, cars, etc. The back deck is still waist deep (on me, anyway), we'll get to that tomorrow, I suppose. A bunch of us did take time to dig out our 95 year old next door neighbor. His daughter is there, but that's a heck of a lot of snow when you don't have a snow blower (or, even if you do!). We cleared their driveway and cars in case there is an emergency and they have to get out. We have called it a day now. I have taken ibuprofen and am going to spend the rest of the afternoon watching football.

And, one thing I am VERY grateful for....we did not lose power!

Aha. I have been told how to zoom when taking pictures on my phone. Better for birds. Still lotsa snow around, but it is melting in the sun. Icicles fell down after dripping for a while. Unfortunately, since it is still cold, the snow that melted in the sun becomes ice when the sun moves and the area is in shade. Icy roads out my northeast-facing window, melting snow to the southwest. Tonight will be all ice. Not nice.

Been enjoying US Football today... watched the Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots earlier today for the AFC championship. Broncos are going to the Superbowl. Now watching my team, the Carolina Panthers, play the Arizona Cardinals in Charlotte for the NFC title. Go Panthers !!!

Back home a looong day. I am ready to rest this old weary body.
