We've had the most gloriously mild autumn. I fear winter may hit soon - nothing to compare with what the topsiders have endured. Or maybe you kept all the cold weather up there!

Still dark, so don't know if the sun will shine or not. Hope it does where you are!

Good morning everyone. A bit wet here for the next few days. Although we've had a couple of coolish starts, the days have been quite mild. 14s and 15s for the rest of the week. The grass is still growing and we're only feeding them hay every second day. We were feeding out in January last year and went through to September without a break. I don't remember a year when we have fed out so little. Really good for hubby, though .

Winter has hit here finally. More hail than snow in Port Chalmers where I live but very cold, strong winds. Gave up pretending to be asleep at 2am so came out here and stoked up the logburner. It burns much quicker when there are strong winds so at least it was toasty warm when I got up!

In this day and age, New Zealand is always ahead of Oz Mads. We may get winter in 20 years time!

HalT, that little round ball next to the Redback is an egg sack and all the time we were annoying her, the back leg remained in contact.

You know they say about the best laid plans if mice and men...well substitute dog for mice. The vet nurse lives in our community and offered to take the dog to the vet - 50 minutes away. Hubby stayed home to make sure she turned up, as she has forgotten before and has done so again. The dog is travelling in the cab of the flat tray and as he is a barker, hubby is wearing his chainsaw ear muffs. He's pretty crabby. He'll be about 3 hours late for work.

Thanks, Peter, I'll probably have 'Radar Love' bouncing around in my head for a while.

Hmmm. I wasn't familiar with Radar Love. So I did a search and found a Golden Earning rendition of this heart-wrenching song.
DOA, if that little ditty bounced around my head more than once, I'd consider suicide.

I have just had physio and traction. I should have measured my height before they started traction to see if I am getting any taller. I am OK in the daytime, would just like to be able to sleep at night.
