I think it's a good idea bit will fail without enough support. Colin is sceptical. I say let's try.

Tonight I am trying to impress my hubby again. As you may know i hate cooking so tonight I am going to make a chicken cajun salad with mango and asparagus with tthe usual salad items. I will serve it in a basket made from tortilla bread. Sounds good, I will let you know how it goes.

CynB, I've found most of those packet bases to be very good. Most times I can tell if we'll like it just by the packet. Some of the sauces like pepper, Diane, mushroom etc taste exactly like restaurant sauces. We're all allergy free so I don't have to worry about their ingredients too much. My pooter is 'needed' by those who didn't pay for it, the electricity, the phone line or the internet so I'd best be off.

Thanks all - if this happens I can retire. Oh the joy of never having to deal with the tax dept again. Not to mention customers.

OK Gail, you're free to uncross now.

TGIF - only 25 minutes to go at work and then it's THE WEEKEND. I hope I don't sound too anxious. I am thoroughly sick of this working week - 5 days is just too long. Bring back the long weekend, I say.
Susan, let's start our own protest (not at the oil companies) but to reduct the working week by one day. If it's good enough for public servants it's good enough for the rest of us.
If I get the banners ready, who'll join me?
My banner is ready - so let's go

A tassie mum writing to her son.

Dear Son,

I'm writing this letter slow - because I know you can't read fast. We don't live where we did when you left home. Your dad read in the newspaper that most accidents happen within 20kms from your home, so we moved. I won't be able to send you the address because the last Tasmanian family that lived here took the house numbers when they moved so that they wouldn't have to change their address.

This place is really nice. It even has a washing machine. I'm not sure it works so well though; last week I put a load in and pulled the chain and haven't seen them since.

The weather isn't bad here. It only rained twice last week; the first time for three days and the second time for four days.

About that coat you wanted me to send you, your Uncle Stanley said it would be too heavy to send in the mail with the buttons on, so we cut them off and put them in the pockets.

John locked his keys in the car yesterday. We were really worried because it took him two hours to get me and your father out.

Your sister had a baby this morning; but I haven't found out what it is yet so I don't know if you're an aunt or an uncle. The baby looks just like your brother.

Uncle Ted fell in a whiskey vat last week. Some men tried to pull him out but he fought them off and drowned. We had him cremated and he burned for three days.

Three of your friends went off a bridge in a Ute. Ralph was driving. He rolled down the window and swam to safety. Your other two friends were in the back. They drowned because they couldn't get the tailgate down.

There isn't much more news at this time. Nothing much has happened.

Love, Mum

P.S. I was going to send you some money but I had already sealed the envelope.

eaa - once again - an oldie but a goodie. I always get a laugh about the parents moving home. I knew a man once, who had been in the army, got some leave so went home to visit his parents in the small NSW town where they lived. Got home about midnight and found the key wouldn't work. Eventually when the door was opened, it transpired that his parents had sold the house and moved and not let him know. Fortunately it was a small town and the new owner told him where his parents now lived.
