I know you're supposed to shell and devein them, but thought others mightn't. I once ordered curried prawns at a restaurant, and they came still in the shell! Ugh!

they are usually available from companies that service the commercial/hospitality sector with cleaning supplies etc. try out your local yellow pages under cleaning supplies or hospitality supplies. I know they were available through one in Albury and I think the one here has them too or could get them in so I expect your local one would have access to them also. there are different quality ones also.

A little koala was sitting up in a tree smoking a joint. A little lizard came past and said "Hey - what are you doing?". The koala answered, 'I'm smoking a joint, come up here and have some"
The little lizzard climbed up the tree and sat next the to little koala. After a while the lizard got thirsty to decided to get a drink from the river. He leant over and was so stoned that he fell out of the tree right in to the river. A Crocodile came past and rescued him and said "What are you doing?"
The little lizzard said "I was smoking a joint with a little koala, got so stones that I fell out of the tree in to the river.
Well - the crocodile decided he needed to see this, so he went over to the tree and yelled "Hey You". The koala looked down and said........................................................SH*T MAN - How much water did you drink?

Susan - Bunnings most certainly DO have the plastic strip curtains. Now what colour can I get for you? Clear, beaded, multi coloured, smoked (colour - not a fire sale). You will find them located (not in the drapery department as maybe expected) in the Shelf Hardware Dept - just near the fly wire and door/ window gap sealing range. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

My littlest is upgrading to a bed today!! It was delivered - a beautiful wooden lo-line bunk bed for the girls to sleep in.... the only problem is I can't understand the instructions let alone work out how to do it without the instructions... there seems to be extra pieces! Do you think it would help if I turned the instructions upside down... maybe if I stood on my head??

Shelley, spag bol tonight. I make my own mince, not one skerrick of fat, and made to my mother's proper Italian recipe. What time will you be here?
Rolanda, rosemary, Suzy and Col - thanks! The problem is air con and an indoor staircase - want to keep the cold air upstairs, but don't want to block off light with curtains. I'm on the right track now. Suzy, how did you find them? And Col, since you ask, I have the measurements, will you pick them up and deliver them to my door? for you all.

how come ze women are taking over dis site? COL: "got so stones"...??? you sure you're not also partaking?? Note on prawns - you have a much much higher chance of getting food poisoning eating shelled prawns as the handling is the easiest and most likely way to spread salmonella or botulism. Always buy in the shell.

Mymare - thanks for that piece on Friends. I've been looking for something to sent with my birthday thank-yous. That should fit the bill well.
Susan - again, a good easy recipe. I'm never sure about that packet sauce/base stuff (except for the potato bake one). Will try that one now. I hate cooking and anything easy that is also tasty is fine by me. My sister is a wonderful gourmet cook - how could two sisters be so different!

The email CynB mentions is one doing the rounds in Australia asking everyone to NOT buy fuel on Feb 22. It's supposed to be a lesson to the fuel companies on the inflated price of petrol we're having to pay.

Supposedly the fuel will stockpile so much that they'll face huge losses. I don't know, I just forwarded it on for people to make up their own minds.
