anne - fear not...you have your own bed...slight problem though, the lightbulb on the landing has gone and it took my neighbour 45 mins to replace it for me the last time it went...so bring a torch.

i think it was CG.

Yes Anne, I'm happy you enjoyed your evening. It's a shame Mary won't be back in Qld by March 1st.

Speaking of our March 1st get-together, I asked my 7yo Granddaughter if I could borrow her sparkly tiara with lights for the day.
She rang last night and I must repeat this rhyme every night to become a real princess:
Deep inside, deep down, in my heart, I wear a crown.
Come, come, into the light, step forward princess, shining bright.

Do you think it will work?
She's going to put a pea under my mattress on her next sleepover to test me.
Where do they get this from?

I could fix Billy's light bulb, but she and her guests have to form a human ladder so I can climb up to reach it.

Rayray - nothing worse than technology gone wrong, especially if you're like me and have no idea how to fix it.

Isn't it just frustrating CynB! I am like you in the respect you mention, and I am tearing out my hair in such quantity I shall not need a haircut for months. Why is everything so incomprehensible and why do various Internet parties make it so hard by being so downright obstructive!!!!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Thanks Susan, but do you think pearls may be too much? Far be it from me to overdress.

Back is still sore, but no worse, just annoying.

Susan - I'll actually need 2 outfits for the meeting because I'm bringing my daughter Karin with me. She does the puzzles and jigsaws and sometimes reads the posts but hasn't posted yet herself. Matching or even identical will do, I'm sure she'd love to wear the same as her mother, not! But I've got first dibs on the tiara with lights from her daughter, she'll just have to use one of the minor crowns, won't she?

About the injury - I can stand, walk, sit and lie down in comfort. It's the movement from one to another that hurts.

Just popping in quickly to say HI before i run off to do errands.
I put up 2 new Q & E recipes which are both worth checking out. One is Creamy Garlic Prawns, which I also added scallops. And the best ever Banana Bread.
Have a good day.

Apologies to those from W.A.
It is indeed West Australian Christmas tree or Nuytsia floribunda! Named after early explorer Pieter Nuyts who almost found Australia, apparently. Close up it looks nothing like a golden wattle. It's also a parasitic tree ie. lives on a host tree. Thanks Google.

My sister passed this on to me and I thought of my "family" instead of girls - I think of persons. enjoy and reflect

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE

When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend.
And then I started to become a woman. And then I found out that if you
allow your heart to open up, you will be shown the best in many friends.

Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your
parents.

Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your
children and their activities.

Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.

One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,' another, 'Let's fight
together,' another, 'Let's walk away together.'

One friend will meet your spiritual need, another your shoe fetish,
another your love for movies, another will be with you in your season of
confusion, another will be your clarifier, another the wind beneath your
wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life, on whatever the occasion, on
whatever the day, or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym
shoes on and hair pulled back, or to hold you back from making a complete
fool of yourself........

Those are your best friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, but for many, it's wrapped up in
several.....one from 2nd grade, one from high school, some from the
college years, a couple from old jobs.

On some days your mother. On some days your neighbor. On others, your
sisters, cousins. And on some days, your daughters.

So whether they've been your friend for 20 minutes or 20 years, AND ONLY
IF YOU'D LIKE TO, pass this on to the women who have been placed in your
life to make a difference.

Yes Susan, you may leave the last bits of the tails as I did, or remove them totally.
The scallops made it much yummier. For 2 people I added a dozen scallaps no roe.

Does anyone know where in Australia you can buy those hard plastic strips that hang from the ceiling to floor in places like supermarkets to section off a cold area. Mr Google is being very co-operative for me. I have to go out now, but will check later.
