A group of friars lived in a monastery. As with many monasteries, the friars found it necessary to run a small business to support themselves. They ran a floral shop. One day one of the friars brought in an exquisite find... a Venus fly trap. It was such a cute thing, they couldn't bear to sell it, More...

I didn't realize you had met my wife...

29/Aug/09 5:04 AM
We will assume Glenn's wife does not have access to this site!

BTW, the answers to the puzzle I posted Thursday (so Jamie will be able to sleep):
1) manikin (mani kin)
2) pretend (pre tend)
3) release (re lease)
4) bishop (bi shop)

Kathy, you now have your revenge!
I did not get any of these!

Appy: Life 'goes on' until it stops - but then I suppose after it has stopped it isn't life any more, so life itself only goes on.
29/Aug/09 5:28 AM
I thought the puzzle today was mush easier than yesterday's

You were pretty mush right the first time, Rayray.

Wish I had time to do the puzzles, but Jaime and I have been locked in a battle for the computer lately. And because what he needs the computer for could result in $$$, he wins! Oh well, I'll just have to dig up one of my old Sudoku books. C you later.
29/Aug/09 6:14 AM
Jane the answer is 2 computers.
We would not be able to function with only one.
29/Aug/09 6:41 AM
I second the 2 computer solution. Would he be more inclined to agree if he got the new one?
29/Aug/09 7:18 AM
2 computers AND different rooms!

Glenn, Revenge is sweet!!

2:27 Hi to all.

Thought for the Evening:

Life is something that everyone should try at least once.

I've had this song on my page several times, as has André, Fiona and a few others. Just feeling a little nostalgic right now. Check it out....

Would love to have two computers, but we don't have room. In any event, Jaime detests computers, so as soon as this business deal he's working on is done, he'll be out of my hair! Normally, he spends 10 minutes a day - MAX - on the computer.

My clutch is replaced, more bite than a small spider...I've stalled the car three times already, driving barefoot down the drive was not, perhaps, a good idea...
29/Aug/09 8:24 AM
I'm glad all your parts are in working order, andré. Now perhaps you might want to invest in a pair of shoes.
29/Aug/09 8:30 AM
Greg - love that song. It's one of my favorites.
29/Aug/09 8:30 AM
Off to cook dinner now....
29/Aug/09 8:31 AM
I like bare feet...
29/Aug/09 8:39 AM
Not for dinner though...
29/Aug/09 8:40 AM
This is one time I have to disagree with you André. Pigs feet taste much better without socks on them.
29/Aug/09 8:47 AM
Haven't you got any sole Greg?...
29/Aug/09 8:54 AM
Nope, just halibut, trout and salmon.
29/Aug/09 8:56 AM
Home again, and off to bed. Rainy day here loverly for sleeping.

Hi, Jaz.
29/Aug/09 11:18 AM
Who's going to tell Glenn he's being sent up. After the clues even I could work them out and I'm dyslexic.
Here's my puzzle
What is the next letter in this sequence
Just post the answer on easy. First in has the honour and glory.
Clue: If you look at it the answer is right in front of you.
29/Aug/09 1:03 PM
The next letter in the sequence would have to be J.
29/Aug/09 1:11 PM
Right first time. That now ends my career as a puzzler. Perhaps I'll become a riddler. But I think that's been done before too.
29/Aug/09 1:17 PM
It's okay - now ask people to tell you why the next letter is J...
29/Aug/09 1:25 PM
Glenn!!! Argh! Bad enough I couldn't figure it out but you have to add insults to injury by demanding a why?
29/Aug/09 1:38 PM
Was out of commission due to a faulty modem for a day. Well longer on and off. But . . . tada I installed a new one today. Called my son twice and the cable company to find out you have to get the cable company to activate the silly thing!
29/Aug/09 1:40 PM
Surely the ckue was the key. Everyone would be board to know more wouldn't they.
