Even the most level headed kid can do something really stupid while drinking. 5 girls that just graduated high school in Canada were going on holiday before they started college and were killed last week. It's so sad to see a young life end when there is so much potential there. I'm so glad that the colleges my kids go to don't allow cars for their first two years.

Stella, read some of the previous posts and I don't think anyone was offended.

Most people seem to dread when their kids go off to college, empty nest, etc. I was so relieved when D#1 left last summer. Every night I worried that something stupid would happen because all of the high school kids were going out every night because they were all going away in different directions. The kids live far apart and driving on the highway while tired or drinking is dangerous. I don't think I slept last August.

Well, I really gotta go now. Only have a 1/2 hour to get ready. Talk to you later! Have a good day/night!

I understand. My parents wouldn't allow me to have my own car until I was 19. I think they got tired of driving and picking me up at college.
