It is Three. And every time she has any contact with him at all she makes irresponsible choices and starts lying. IMHO if you have to lie about it, you shouldna done it.

Today she had a full day of stuff to do in town, but she has instead spent the majority of it at his house with a dozen of his mates.

I sent a text asking her how one of the things she had to do had gone. No answer. Time passes, I sent, 'yoo hoo'. More time passes, then I sent 'What, you're ignoring my text messages now'. All of a sudden she finds her phone. Wow, what a coincidence...

Greetings, All! I'm here earlier than usual, but really must head to bed soon. We have an early morning to go for our annual mole checks. We also have TONS to do in the next couple of weeks. I will even need to sacrifice some of my cello practicing time. We haven't even begun getting ready for the annual tax preparation/filing time and D and SIL will be coming in a couple of weeks to start looking for an apartment in the Chicago area and for SIL to do some more job searching. We need to do a lot more preparation for their time here. I should probably eliminate my time on facebook and limit my time here to a quick read through new posts and a hello and good-bye. I'm not sure I can do this, but I'll try.

Suzy, ditto everyone's comments about documenting EVERYTHING having to do with dragon lady. For better or worse, Three is the sperm donor and Dana may feel a need for there to be contact between S.D. and Natahlia.

Heidi, so glad to hear that tractor version 3 is doing better than its predecessors!

Tami, what a cute story about the candy thief!

MizT, good news that the early pear tree is starting to blossom!

Broni, good luck with your job search. Hopefully the next employer will recognize your strengths and reward you for them!

Julie, you made me think of a horrible joke.. I hear young people call others SPED and I tell them off big time, really insulting and rude in my opinion. But I used it myself because SPErm Donor... How insulting to special education students, putting them in the same category as Three!

We nearly had this happen to us. One took off from the side of the road right in front of the car. It was scary. And huge!!

Morning all. Coffee is ready, help yourself.

Suzy, hope things work out with Dana. Try to talk to here. Tell her if she leaves, where will the baby sleep, etc. It will just give more fuel to dragon lady.

Julie, even with your busy days coming up, try to stop in and just let us know that you are OK. We worry when our friends don't post.

Heidi, Harley has finally outgrown the chewing stage except for two things. He likes to chew on the little mat by the front door and he likes to chew on arms and legs. Not bite hard but playfully.

Dogs and breeds differ about their chewing stage, Tami. For some strange reason (maybe a pact) Collies stop chewing destructively as soon as they turn 11 months old. It's happened with every single Collie I have ever owned. I've never counted, but that may be as many as 60.

I won't be able to move as many loads of hay as I'd hoped today. I forgot that my house helper will be here today, AND we have a Lions Club meeting tonight, and I'm bringing part of the meal. That means going to the store and getting ingredients, then cooking.

Good Morning friends, not as pretty a day today, overcast, but promises to be warmer today.

I woke feeling chilly today. Had a phone call first thing, sat covered in my favorite sherpa throw to keep warm. got up to start my day, and still fell chilled. I turned up the heat one degree, cause this thermostat, one degree can make a big difference in comfort on the house. STILL chilly, bordering on being cold. I checked the inside temp, 62! I usually keep the house 68 in winter. has my furnace expired? THEN I remembered, yesterday when i had doors opened, wind was blowing cross the thermostat and calling for heat to come on. I turned the unit off, PHEW! House would warm back up now that I have turne the heat back on. silly Tricia.

Heidi, sorry to hear the tongue is still numb, and hoping that it will not be a permanent thing. Perhaps dentist can give you some answers. Hopefully with Robert's help tomorrow you can get the last of the hay moved. Congrats on another healthy calf.

Suzy, sad to hear your thoughts on Dana, and possibility of her and the baby moving out. I do hope she can put the baby's needs above hers, no matter what she decides, where she goes.

Rolanda, lovely flowers, I hope you do enjoy them. You did have a busy day, and I am sure you enjoyed the meal your MIL had made. Just a meal ready helps so much.

House is smelling so good, sausage patties in the fry pan, biscuits in the oven, coffee in my cup, breakfast.

Julie, I also hope you can drop in with a quick HI and BYE most days, we will miss you.

Ahhh, house is warmer already, hopefully the last time we need heat today, it should get warm

Hugs to each of you, with extras. till later. today.

Just had a long phone call from that daughter of my friend that I've been trying to help. She and her mother are having serious problems, and they're estranged right now. The girl, now 18, has moved in with her boyfriend, who the mother hates. In most of the problems they've had, my friend has been the one at fault. The daughter just told me that she's pregnant. She hasn't told her mother, and really doesn't want to, tho' she knows she should. But I know her mother will NOT take it well. Not even slightly. Fortunately, the boyfriend has been taking her to the doctor and starting the pregnancy off right, medically. The main problem that the daughter is having is that she is adopted... born in Russia.... and her adopted mother/ my friend never got around to getting her citizenship papers. So the girl cannot get a job without a social security number or work permit. Because everything has been left so long, it's now too expensive for either the girl or her boyfriend (who lost his job yesterday) to be able to afford. And the mother refuses to pay for it now. So I'm paying for it behind my friend's back. I have let the daughter know that I will help her get through this, she is not alone. And that she can talk to me without fear that I will repeat anything to her mother, that she doesn't want repeated. Poor girl. This all happened because of a desperate need for love that she didn't get at home. I had tried to talk my friend out of adopting years ago because I knew she wasn't emotionally suited for parenthood.

Oh Heidi, how sad, I am glad the young lady has someone to turn to now. Wishing the best for your young friend, and good for you, steping up to help her.

My New To Me keyboard feels much the same as the old one, so not a lot of typos because of a different feel. This one just sounds different. The letters make a click, the space bar makes a distinctive thunk, so it is click click click thunk hehehe.

I must go to the grocery. I have thought about going since Friday and not made it yet. Achies are getting better, pain meds not making me dizzy, best go while I have this window of oppertunity. Not a full "bill of groceries", just a few things, hould not take long. Humm, I might find something for lunch also while out and have a car picnic again.

More hugs, till later.

Good morning - I just about spluttered my tea at the pole comment referring to IH, Heidi.
Tricia - glad you're getting used to the new keyboard despite the clicking and thunking!
Well, I now have a snake in residence - Monty the python is in her enclosure on a table outside. So far the dog just thinks it's a big white box with a glass front - if she notices movement in there, we're unsure what she'll do. She can't get to the snake but she sure could make a racket with her barking. Otherwise our living arrangements are working out well - until Friday when the other 2 girls arrive for a weekend of bedlam. None of them bad on their own but put them together - happy noises, fighting noises, screaming etc etc.

Morning my SA friends ♥

Off to visit with my Auntie today, and give her some love and support.
In the space of 6 months she has lost 3 siblings ♥

My sister is coming as well.

I'm home, and with a full tummy. We had spaghetti tonight. I brought the italian sausage and garlic bread.

I don't think I'm a saint. (Saints don't plot ways of disposing of their idiot husbands without getting caught.) I try to treat others the way I wish others had treated me when I was younger. I can see this poor girl making the same mistakes I did at her age, and for a lot of the same reasons. She's bright (honor roll student) and sweet, and deserves better.

Morning all,
Almost out of allowance for the month and 2 days to go - waaa!

Heidi, I really hope you are able to make a difference for this young girl. I hope she finds a way to study (by distance like Dana, or something like that) so she can eventually get the job of her dreams, whatever that may be.

Tami, there's another word for someone who has put up with IH for all these years - crazy...

MizT, I hope you got a lovely car picnic. There are some really beautiful places for you to stop. I love the photos.

Cyn, I read your post and said to Dana, no snake, no snake... she really wants one. I like the idea of the girls being together. I've never forgiven your DIL, though I would be polite if I met her it would only be for the sake of the you, Andrew and the girls.

Rolanda, big hugs to your Auntie. It would be very hard for her.

I've just been out for a smoke and spent the time watching Monty slide/slither/move around her box - she's fascinating. I want to take her out but I won't until Andrew is here.
Suzy - ex-DIL - I have only skimmed the surface of the stories about that one!! I would write a book but, after all, she's their mother and they all love her, even Em!

I can see already that I am going to have a very depressed puppy after Emily and Andrew leave - she's taken to sleeping right at the door, Emily is just inside. I'm sure she would protect her with her life, if threatened. She mopes around all day when Em goes to school, I think she'll get too used to having her here!
