Linda, don't you have horses?

Lynda, does the state tell you what you are allowed to plant?

Hi Cyndi are you another night owl?

I'm an insomniac.

Ruby - yes we take in old and abused horses, sort of horse refuge. The state is more likely to tell us what not to plant! We have a pretty free rein really, we have tried to plant bird attracting plants mostly.

Cyndi, are you well enough to try to get together again?
Linda, we live 90 miles apart.

By the time you have done an acre of garden I am sure you would sleep! I know I would.

Are you both in the same state? Do you both drive. 90 miles is quite a distance, do you meet half way?

I had a horse when I was a kid. When I was in college my father tricked me into selling her. I with I had kept her and taken care of her in her old age.

Can you imagine only 400 sq metres? Even in the developmentI'm in we have just over an acre, but we also don't have a huge house on it. The patio homes are the ones with the little yards.
I'm not so much a night owl, I'm usually heading to bed about now. I'm up at 8am and then doze until about 10am. I take my c-pap off at 8.

It's mostly grass. Just ride the mower.

Cyndi, do you have a big 'garden'?

Linda, is your bore water fit for the horses?

My father did exactly the same thing! I had two horses all through school, the older one had two foals and I was training them in the holidays. The other horse I used to use for show jumping. By the time I went to college father had a 'heart to heart' and talked me into selling the lot! Old horses are no fun to look after. We have to mash their food up as they have no back teeth! Put coats on and off and generally treat them like babies. They can be bad tempered too. Not at all grateful!!

Ruby, maybe sometime next month? Let me check my (d***ned) drs appts and see what my son is up to. Is Camden still okay with you? My brother lived in Camden when he first moved here; now he's in Greenville.

We mix the bore water with rain water for the horses.

Allergies keep me awake.

Ruby, I don't do much of anything outside, so, no, I don't have any real garden. I have "organized areas of the yard" where the azealas are and where the forsythia, or the gardenias or the roses are, but no real garden.

Camden is great. I'm looking forward to it.

Ruby, it looks like my son is signaling that it s "bedtime" -- funny how things turn back around isn't it? Guess I need to consider sleeping for a while--one more drs appt tomorrow. I will check dates and get back to you. This weekend hubby and I are heading to the mountains. Where we go there is a big apple farm on the side of the mountain with the best apples. (yummm)

I just had a week in Ballarat on holidays, too short, need more time. Back at work now, bummer.

I love Ballarat although we had the holiday from you know where many years ago, suffide it to say, the staff at the Ballarat Hospital made our first night memorable!

You do remember the holidays when things don't go to plan

If I had written a story about this holi you wouldn't have believed it! My youngest was just under a year old and she's 13 1/2 now and that was our last official 'holiday' as a family, apart from trips back to Sth Aus to see my Mum. Never again!

Did you take the tribe? What accom did you stay in?

All 4 of us went.
Was all good.
Had a great time.
Substantially contributed to the economy of Ballarat (put a serious dent in the bank account).

I've only got 3 minutes left on the rocket clock, then I have to go and weave magic in the kitchen. Only Sag Bot Spag Bol tonight so it won't be hard!

Don't mind the spag bol, might have to go home via Cockatoo to grab a bite
