Hi Dino, I'm not saying that time alone isn't nice but would hate for it to be for long periods of time. What sort of writing do you do Dino?

I've just finished a book about cutting through addiction from a Buddhist viewpoint (but without Buddhist terminology0. I used to get poetry published until I realised it was mostly a game with editors. Now I write about Buddhism. The articles get published in Buddhist magazines.

I suspect that most of the stress and depression in this world is because we feel we have to be doing something useful.

Ruby, had a night with some throbbing pains but have had some relief time today. Back tomorrow for more acupuncture and stretching on the rack. One disc is 10mm out of place. As well as all the other degenerative problems. Painful but otherwise I am in good health so should not complain.

That sounds really interesting. My youngest daughter is doing RE for one of her A'level studies. Hoping to become an RE teacher in a few years time. I'm not sure if they ever deal with Buddhism in their studies. When I was at school we were solely taught about the bible in RE but now it is a wider subject and lots of religions are talked about

You are right Dino, we were all brought up with work ethic and it is not easy (but nice) when we have a day when we achieve very little.

One of my teachers told me a Tibetan saying: " You ask big people to pick up bog stones and little people to pick up little stones." By which he meant there is no shame in taking a rest when you need it!!!

Being stretched on the rack was interesting. A tight band was placed around my chest and another my hips. These were attached to bed that parted in the middle. Yesterday was a 20k "pull" but that will gradually increase to pull my spine back into place. It was not painful. Just hope it helps.

sounds like a torture chamber, June. Jasmine probably has tonsilitis and maybe teething as well, so nothing serious. Just a matter of lots of cuddles and her 'Wiggles" DVD.

They all love the "Wiggles" Last year the Sunday Paper had a free Wiggles DVD and we certainly have had a lot of milage from that. Hope Jasmine is soon feeling much better. It is so hard to see the "littlies" being off colour.

Better go and clear up the kitchen. Got a new dishwasher today so better look as though I will make the most of it. The old one leaked onto the floor all the time and had to have an old towel in front so will enjoy not having a wet towel on the floor.

Its hard for the littlies, too. They can't understand what is wrong. They can't blow their nose and they hate having it wiped for them. Tibetan mothers suck the snot out of the noses of their children. A sensible idea when you have no tissues and no hospitals.

Sharon had a what I would have called a "dropper" A glass tube with a rubber bulb on the end and she used that to extract the mucus from Laura until she learned to "blow". Good night Dino.

Good morning all! It was supposed to rain all day yesterday, but it didn't start until after the soccer game was over! Yeah! It rained all night and is still raining! Packing up this morning to go to D#2's school. She'll be coming back with us Saturday night. She seems to be really looking forward to coming home. D#1 will be leaving Boston in a couple of hours to go to Notre Dame for the football game tomorrow. I hope everything goes well for her. She's only been on a plane twice before! Well, off to pack and get ready. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hello friends! Today dawned way cool for this date! Weather man said, we had recently been about 7 degrees above average, and now we are 7 degrees below average. don't they know that "average temps" are fictious here? The former is the norm, above, or below average hehehe

Greetings Down Under!

Gail, I hope your throat gets better. Hasn't this gone on long enough for you to seek medical intervention?

Dino and June, better (more powerful) than an eye-dropper, is a rubber bubble syringe. It's what the hospital uses to clear out the noses of new-borns. Surely they have them in Oz.

June, I hope your back feels better soon. Stretching, as you have described, is what I wanted when mine hurt. Good luck with it.

Dino, cyber pats for Merlin. Feel free to translate to reality for him.

Ruby what I was trying to describe was probably what you call the rubber bubble syringe. I had no idea what it was called. Just off for another stretching session

Hi everybody. Using hubby's computer tonight as I went to a jukebox website that was recommended on easy a while back. Checked for any mention of problems. Couldn't find any, so I went there like a dunce and it installed a program on my laptop that hosed the partition. So, tried to restore from another partion and it got that one too. Tomorrow we're going to reload my machine. I've learned my lesson, again. No more music or video websites that aren't well known.
Will be back later after I catch up on all the pages and games.

Yep, the voice is back, to a degree!
Husky is what I like to think of it as.
Ruby, thank you so much for your concern. It really is just a cold so I shall weather it. I know there is a low-grade infection but as it is not affecting my asthma, I will just let my immune system fight it. I try very hard to stay away from antibots and the like because the more you take, the less they work and I like to have them in reserve for when I really need them.

MizT, all I remember is that it started with tropical. The next day I went to the local library, didn't want to infect any other computers here, and checked it out. The site was down, so I'm thinking that the admin found he had been hacked. Not going there again, nope, no way.
